Day 1: Buenos Aires

Bienvenidos a Argentina! Upon arrival into the international airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

This morning enjoy a guided group city tour taking in the Neoclassical Metropolitan Cathedral, the unusual dusty pink Government House and the history-packed Plaza de Mayo. Head to the barrio of San Telmo to see the street performed sensuous dance of tango. Wander the attractive streets of Palermo and see Recoleta and the famous cemetery of the same name. This tour is also available to be done privately. Ask your consultant for more details. This evening you will be collected from your hotel and taken to the El Querandi Wine Cellar where you with an English speaking Sommelier enjoy a visual and tasting tour of all of Argentina’s wine regions - After enjoy dinner and make your own way back to the hotel.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - El Calafate

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate, the starting point for excursions to one of Argentina’s most famous natural wonders – the Pertio Moreno glacier. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Remainder of day free.

Day 4: El Calafate

Today enjoy a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier measuring 30km in length, the monstrous Perito Moreno glacier is a jagged mass of crevasses and towering columns of ice. Beginning at Brazo Rico where you will be able to spot floating icebergs and continuing with a nautical safari on Rico Lake for spectacular views of the ice walls and Glaciers.

Day 5: El Calafate

Today we make our way on the public bus to Puerto Natales in Argentina - Sit back and enjoy the simply incredible views along the journey. (OVERNIGHT PUERTO NATALES)

Day 6: El Calafate - Torres del Paine

This morning your first stop is the Cerro de la Cruz viewpoint for magnificent panoramic views of the city’s colourful rooftops, the Strait of Magellan and in the distance, the large island of Tierra del Fuego. Back in Punta Arenas visit the main square with its many beautiful buildings before your transfer to your Torres Del Paine Hotel.

Days 7-8: Torres del Paine

Over the next two days you will have ample opportunity to partake in the many activities offered by your hotel. You might spend one day trekking the Ascencio Valley getting up close to the astounding Towers of Paine mountain range or horse ride to Cerro Paine for spectacular views of the Nothafagus forest. You could take a ferry across Pehoe Lake to Grey Glacier View Point for striking vistas of the centenary icebergs or you could trek to Sarmiento Lake to examine the calcium carbonate formations. The activities and excursions on offer will ensure you see the very best of this incredible national park.

Day 9: Torres del Paine - Santiago

Today is a day of travel say farewell to this frozen land, early morning a transfer to the airport in Punta Arenas for your flight to Santiago. Arrival in Santiago and our local team will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 10: Santiago

This morning join a group city tour to discover Santiago’s appealing blend of the old and new. Walking to the Plaza de Armas gaze at the handsome colonial architecture including the grandiose Catedral Metropolitana, the Post Office and the Santiago City Hall. Continue to the Government Palace and the older neighbourhood of Plaza Concha y Toro marked by cobblestone streets and elegant 20th century mansions. Heading east through neighbourhoods with a thoroughly modern appearance stop at a local handicrafts store where you can try a Pisco Sour. This evening why not head out to one of the many fantastic restaurants and wine cellars.

Day 11: Santiago - Cuzco

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cuzco Peru (Via a brief stop in Lima) Arriving at around 13:10 our Peru team is on hand to transfer you to your hotel in the heart of the Incan Empire.

Day 12: Cuzco

Enjoy a morning tour of the coty considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Afternoon at your leisure to explore.

Day 13: Cuzco - Aguas Calientes

We pick you up from your hotel at 5.40am meet the rest of the group, and take you to the train station. We travel by train, on a very picturesque route for 4 hours until we reach kilometer 104 - the start of the trail for us. From here, we have a walk of approximately 4 hours up to the Inca site Wiñay Wayna - We will then continue on to 'Inti Punku' ('Sun gate') your first dramatic, panoramic view of Machu Picchu. we walk through Machu Picchu, getting a 'taster' for the tour the next day! We finish the day walking down to Aguas Calientes to have dinner and rest up for tommorows memorable tour.

Day 14: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

No place in Peru quite captures the imagination like the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Nestled in a saddle between two forested mountains and surrounded on three sides by the Urubamba River, its location couldn't be more awe-inspiring. The city itself is brilliantly preserved, a classical Inca-style complex of polished dry-stone walls and temples. For the day explore the citadel and the wonderful Temple of the Sun and magical Temple of the Moon on a three hour guided excursion. Other highlights include the fascinating Sacred Plaza and the elaborately carved Intihuatana rock. In the later afternoon you return by train to Cusco.

Day 15: Cuzco

Tracing a particularly scenic course from Cuzco all the way to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley was greatly appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities. Today we explore all of this, we will visit the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan the dwellings, temples then onto the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo. We then drive back to Cuzco arriving in the later afternoon.

Day 16: Cuzco

Sadly you South America adventure draws to a close, we will be sure to transfer you to the airport for your flight to Lima where you can connect to your flight home.
