Day 1: Lima

Upon arrival into Lima International Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Our representative will assist you with check-in procedures and provide you with a detailed itinerary, vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip. Overnight Costa del Sol Ramada.

Day 2: Lima

This morning with your private guide discover why Lima has historically been such an important city with a sightseeing tour that covers Lima’s most impressive colonial buildings as well as a number of fascinating museums. The afternoon is free for you to explore Lima further.

Day 3: Lima

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore this fantastic city.

Day 4: Lima - Cuzco

Transfer on time to Lima airport to board the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival into Cusco Airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure in order to acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 5: Cuzco

This morning, will allow us to enjoy and appreciate the mestizo characteristics of the city through a visit to its beautiful and most representative buildings, such as Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun; the Incan street of Loreto, where you can admire the famous 12-sided stone; Ahuajpinta street, along which sit the remains of impressive Incan palaces and old colonial buildings such as the Cathedral; and the Museum of Colonial Art. We will then head towards the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman and the ruins of Kenqo, Tambomachay (also known as the Incan Baths) and the Tambo de Puca Pukara. The afternoon is free for you to relax.

Day 6: Cuzco

Known as the Sacred Valley, the area between Cuzco and Machu Picchu is littered with traditional Andean villages and fascinating Inca ruins. Today you explore the region starting with the textile centre of Awanacancha where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch then continue to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 7: Cuzco

This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. Lunch at a local hotel follows before returning to Cuzco by train

Day 8: Cuzco

Today is at your leisure to explore.

Day 9: Cuzco - Lima

Today you fly back to Lima, arrival transfer awaits to take you to your hotel.

Day 10: Lima

Enjoy a another day to explore the city.

Day 11: Lima - Quito

Transfer back to Lima Airport to board the International flight to Ecuador. Arriving here our local rep awaits to take you to the hotel for a briefing. Later, visit downtown Quito and its architectural treasures on a city tour. Quito’s UNESCO-listed colonial quarter is one of the largest and best-preserved in South America. Your stroll takes you through Independence Plaza, past the Cathedral and the Presidential Palace, and on to the temple of La Compañia de Jesús, and the impressive façade of the Monastery of San Francisco. Touring continues with the Equatorial Monument that marks the exact point of the Middle of the World.

Day 12: Quito - Galapagos Islands

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Arriving here you will commence the 6 night/7 day Finch Bay Naturalist program.

Days 13-17: Galapagos Islands

Day 18: Galapagos Islands - Lima

Today a return transfer to Baltra Airport for your flight to Quito, here you connect to your Lima bound flight. Arriving here, our Lima team are on hand to take you to your hotel.

Day 19: Lima

Sadly your journey concludes today with a transfer to the airport for your flight home.
