Day 1: Lima

Bienviendos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Lima International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your up-coming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure

Day 2: Lima - Cuzco

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, known to the Incas as the ‘navel of the world’ After arrival transfer enjoy an historic private city tour later in the afternoon. Cuzco has some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 3: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Tracing a particularly scenic course from Cuzco all the way to Machu Picchu, enjoy a private Sacred Valley tour. On the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 4: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

Transferring to the train station in the morning for a stunning train journey to the famous Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Sit back and enjoy the views as the landscape changes from the Andean highlands to the beginnings of the jungle. Your private guided tour of the Citadel includes the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. Buffet lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is included

Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

This morning you will have time to perform some of the following activities on your own: 1. Visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu for a second time, 2. For active or more adventurous people, we suggest to climb up the Huayna Picchu (Depending on weather conditions) from where you can appreciate the immensity of Machu Picchu, even more amazing being so high and distant. (Not included guide) In the afternoon, return to by train and upon arrival at the train station you will be met by our representative and private driver for your transfer to the hotel.

Day 6: Cuzco

After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Lima. On arrival you can connect to your flight home.
