Day 1: Lima

Bienviendos a Peru! Welcome to Peru and the start of your journey through the land of the Incas. Upon arrival into Lima International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. After check in spend some time with our rep discussing your up-coming trip. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure.

Day 2: Lima - Cuzco

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, known to the Incas as the ‘navel of the world’. After you arrival transfer in the later afternoon. We explore what is considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, which you will discover touring the sights of the Plaza de Armas, the Catedral and the Koricancha complex – a supreme example of Inca stonework. Head out further afield to tour the Kenko Amphitheatre, the fortified hunting lodge of Puca Pucara, the stunning imperial baths of Tambo Machay and the megalithic fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 3: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Today on the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo. We then head to your sacred valley hotel for the night.

Day 4: Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes

This morning a scenic train journey followed by a bus ride brings you to the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Set on a mountainous peak overlooking a deep canyon on the Urubamba River, the ancient Inca city is indeed one of South America’s most impressive sights. Be amazed by the incredibly well-preserved plazas, towers and temples as you enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu. After we assist with check into the Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Cuzco

Today you are at leisure to re-enter Machu Picchu at your leisure (Entrance ticket not included) Later, our local rep will assist with your embarkation of the train back to Cuzco that arrives late in the evening.

Day 6: Cuzco - Puno

Travelling by bus to the City of Puno. During the trip, we pass by the lovely Wacarpay Lake, offering spectacular views of the mountains reflected in its calm waters. Proceed to the beautiful Town of Andahuaylillas, and visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, better known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas due to its decorated polychrome ceiling. Later we pass through La Raya Ranch where we can see herds of vicuñas and llamas. Then travel along the High Plateau of Collao, stopping at the Town of Ayaviri, an important livestock and textile Centre, to visit the impressive Temple of Kalasaya, ruins from the ancient Pucara Culture. Overnight in Puno – Lake Titicaca

Day 7: Puno

After breakfast board a yacht from Puno port for a shared cruise and tour around the floating islands of Uros. Inhabited by fishermen and hunters, these beautiful islands are made from totora reeds and were built in order to escape the imposition of invading cultures. Your cruise continues to the genuine island of Amantani, renowned for the fine crafts made by inhabitants. Enjoy lunch in the community before visiting the hilltop sanctuaries of Pachatata and Pachamama the boat then returns to Puno by sunset.

Day 8: Puno - La Paz

Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary, board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, snack on board while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain followed by the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display, and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka traditional vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Catamaran Cruise Ship to Chua harbor while enjoying a buffet lunch on board, land transfer to La Paz. Overnight in La Paz.

Day 9: La Paz

Spend your day exploring the incredible city of La Paz at your leisure.

Day 10: La Paz - Buenos Aires

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires (Via Lima) Arriving into Buenos Aires a transfer awaits to take you to your hotel.

Day 11: Buenos Aires - Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

After breakfast this morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu, your base for exploring the magnificent Iguazu Falls. Enjoy a half day excursion to the Argentinean side of the falls. A number of walking trails are available bringing you in front of or above the rapids. You’ll also see the dramatic Garganta del Diablo or Devil’s Throat, an awe-inspiring display of natural power.

Day 12: Iguazu Falls (Argentina)

Spend the morning with our guide exploring the Brazilian side of the falls, walking along catwalks that allow you to see the torrents of water at their most impressive. After, a transfer to Iguazu Falls Airport (Brazil) For your flight to Rio -- Arriving into Rio - End of your exclusive journey.
