Day 1: Lima

Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival at the airport you will be transferred to the hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure. It may not look much more than a desert city at first but the appeal of Lima lies in its hidden treasures, from the country's finest museums to the many colonial buildings located in the historic UNESCO-listed centre. Pre-Colombian temples stand amid stately colonial mansions and the wealth of archaeological remains on display is nothing short of staggering. The city’s museums rate highly as must-see attractions for the sheer size of their exhibits and the insight provided into the various civilisations of Peru.

Day 2: Lima

Today you will go on a half day tour of Lima city. For centuries Lima was considered the most beautiful city in Spanish America and today discover why with an optional scheduled morning tour. Many of the city’s most imposing and important buildings were built around the Plaza Mayor in the heart of the old town. Here you’ll find the opulent facade of the Palacio de Gobierno, or Presidential Palace, where each day the ceremonial changing of the guard takes place. Nearby is the austere Catedral and various small palaces and balconied edifices that helped Lima claim UNESCO World Heritage status. Discover contemporary Lima in the form of the plush suburb of San Isidro and lively Miraflores before continuing to the quiet district of Pueblo Libre to see the stylish hacienda museum, which exhibits hundreds of excellently preserved ceramics.

Day 3: Lima - Cuzco

Today you will be transferred from the hotel to the airport where you will board a flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco you will be transferred to the hotel. later this afternoon you shall go on a half day city tour. Considered the archaeological capital of South America, Cuzco is home to some of the finest examples of Inca history and architecture.

Day 4: Cuzco - Sacred Valley

The Sacred Valley was greatly appreciated by the Incas due to its special geographical and climatic qualities and as such contains numerous archaeological remains and villages. On the way to the ancient village of Urubamba stop to visit Awanacancha, an Andean textile centre where the art of Incan textile is kept alive. Continue to the archaeological complex of Pisac, formed of a collection of remains of Incan dwellings, temples and terracing. Enjoy a spot of shopping and practise your bartering skills at the local market before stopping for lunch. The day of touring concludes with a visit to the impressive fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo.

Day 5: Sacred Valley

Today explore the Sacred Valley further with visits to Andean villages south of the Río Urubamba. See the lovely paintings from the Cuzco School on display in the attractive colonial church of Chinchero. Continue to Maras where the original Indian aristocratic coats of arms hang on the outside of the church and houses. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the train station for a stunning train journey to the famous Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Sit back and enjoy the views as the landscape changes from the Andean highlands to the beginnings of the jungle. Arrive Aguas Calientes and check in to hotel.

Day 6: Sacred Valley - Cuzco

Today you shall go on a full day tour of Machu Picchu. No place in Peru quite captures the imagination like the legendary ‘Lost City’ of Machu Picchu. Nestled in a saddle between two forested mountains and surrounded on three sides by the Urubamba River, its location couldn’t be more awe-inspiring. The city itself is brilliantly preserved, a classical Inca-style complex of polished dry-stone walls and temples. Later this afternoon you shall return to Cuzco by the Vistadome.

Day 7: Cuzco - Lima

Today you will be transferred to the airport where you will board a flight to Lima. Upon arriving in Lima you will be transferred to the hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Lima - Rio De Janeiro

Today you will be transferred back to the Lima airport where you will board a flight to Rio. Upon arriving in Rio you will be transferred to the hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure. The cinematic cityscape of Brazil’s second largest city is nothing if not exhilarating. With the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue looking over the city and a plethora of breathtaking landscapes of gorgeous mountains, white-sand beaches and verdant forests fronting the deep blue sea, sits on the largest bay in the world and the natural harbour has been named one of the Seven Natural Wonders. Add to this one of the sexiest populations in the world and it’s no wonder Rio has enchanted visitors for centuries.

Day 9: Rio De Janeiro

Today you shall go on a full day tour including a trip up Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado, with its famous Statue of Christ, for great city views.

Day 10: Rio De Janeiro

Today you have the day at leisure.

Day 11: Rio De Janeiro - Iguazu Falls (Brazil)

Today you will be transferred to the airport where you will board a flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arriving in Iguazu you will be transferred to the hotel. Later today you will go on an excursion to see the Brazilian side of the falls. Straddling the border between Argentina and Brazil, the spectacular Iguazú Falls are one of the most popular natural tourist attractions in South America. Stretching for more than one and a half miles and composed of over 250 separate cascades, the falls have been hailed as one of the seven wonders of the natural world and form the centrepiece of the Parque Nacional Iguazú. Listed an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, the park is home to a diverse range of endemic flora and fauna.

Day 12: Iguazu Falls (Brazil)

Today you shall go on an excursion to see the Argentinian side of the falls.

Day 13: Iguazu Falls (Brazil) - Buenos Aires

Today you will be transferred to the airport where you will board a flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arriving in Buenos Aires you will be transferred to the hotel where you have the rest of the day at leisure. The cosmopolitan capital of Buenos Aires is one of South America’s most seductive cities. Almost European in design with tree-lined streets, lively plazas and innumerable parks and gardens where colourful parrots roost, the city claims an unbelievable array of restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs with its interest in the arts evident in the myriad theatres, cinemas and galleries.

Day 14: Buenos Aires

Day at leisure.

Days 15-24: Buenos Aires

Today you will be transferred from the hotel to the airport from where you have your own arrangements until 28th Sep.

Day 25: Buenos Aires

Today we shall bid you farewell and transfer you to the airport for your final flight home.
