Today early you will be met at your hotel by your guide and transferred to the amazing Mt Seorak National Park. We will stop at Woljeongsa temple along the way. Later we visit the infamous Gweongeumseong Fortress via a 1,100 meter cable car!! This Fortress is truly a sight to behold and is steeped in rich history. Today we will also see the Sinheungsa Temple.
After breakfast we travel on to Gyeongju today. Stopping on the way to visit make a visit to Andong and Hahoe Village a good opportunity to take in the local culture and learn a thing or two about Korea’s rich heritage.
This morning enjoy a tour of Gyeongju that takes you to Tumuli Park to visit some of the large and small tombs from the Silla period. Then a visit to the UNESCO listed temple of Bulguska and Seokguram Grotto, one of Asia’s finest Buddhist shrines, dramatically located on the slopes of Toham Mountain, 750 metres above sea level and looking out over the Sea of Japan. Later we visit the oldest surviving observatory in East Asia- Cheomseongdae Observatory. We then drive to Busan.
A morning tour of Busan takes in the Haedongyonggungsa Temple and followed by Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park and provides perfect views of the entire city. See the vivid life of the Jagalchi Fish Market as locals haggle with the fishermen selling their fresh catch. After, practise some haggling at Kukje Market, the best place in Busan to find silk, clothing, linen, handbags and much more. With its small and overloaded stores, the goods fill the narrow alleyways spilling into the surrounding streets, making Kukje Market quite a spectacle.
Today we have a full day touring visiting the Haeinsa temple and then the highlights of Jeonju city.
This morning we drive you around 3-4 hours to Seoul's domestic airport for your onward flight.
