Day 1: Seoul - Jeonju

Today you will travel towards Jeonju the capital of Jeollabuk-do province situated in the fertile Honam Plain famous for its quality produce, especially its exceptional strawberries. In the afternoon explore Jeonju Hanok Village, home to 700 traditional Korean homes built from clay, wood and stone, a rarity in today’s South Korea. Many are still residential properties while others have been converted into guesthouses, museums, galleries and teahouses. Jeonju is also home to the Gyeonggijeon Shrine in honour of King Taejo the founder of the Joseon Dynasty as well as Jeondong Catholic Church built in 1914 in a western-style cathedral design and the largest such western style structure in the province. Day 2: Jeonju - Busan

In the morning, travel along the coastline to Namhae, known as the ‘treasure island of Korea’. Connected to the mainland by a 660 metre long and 80 metre high suspension bridge giving an impressive view of the surrounding landscape. In Namhae visit Daraengi Village with its 108 terraces of rice patties covering the hillside and the German village. Built in the style of German architecture and even using German materials imported from Germany. The village was built for German - Koreans who had moved to Germany in the 1960’s seeking work and since returned. Continue to Busan for the night. Overnight – Jeonju Jazzaround hotel

Day 3: Busan

Today you will enjoy a full day tour of Busan, taking in the Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park, which provides perfect views of the entire city. See the vivid life of the Jagalchi Fish Market as locals haggle with the fishermen selling their fresh catch. You will also visit Gukje market and Nurimaru APEC house. Day 4: Busan - Jeju

This morning you will be transferred to Gimhae Airport for the onward flight to Jeju Island. About an hour from Busan by air, Jeju Island is a volcanic island brimming with natural beauty, unique cultural traditions and a perfect temperate climate. This afternoon take a tour of Jeju Island to Hallim Park with its exotic botanical gardens, lava caves, folk village and O’Sulloc Tea Museum where guests can learn more about the traditional Korean tea culture. Evening at leisure.

Day 5: Jeju

Today you explore the scenic landscape of Jeju Island on a “Olle” hiking tour of Mt.Hallasan National Park visiting the spectacular volcanic rock formations of Jusangjeolli Cliff, and the beautiful three tiered Cheonjeyeon Falls.

Day 6: Jeju - Busan

For your final day on Jeju Island visit Manjanggul Cave, the UNESCO listed cave is the world’s longest lava cave stretching for approximately 8 kilometres; also see Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a magnificent volcano crater rising from the sea with cliffs to the southeast and north sides and the northwest side a verdant grassy hill. Then visit Seongeup Village, a mountain village still living a mountain existence with villagers residing in traditional thatched roof houses with stone and clay walls. Afternoon transfer to Jeju Airport and flight to Busan, arriving in Gimhae Airport. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight – Busan Commodore hotel

Day 7: Busan - Gyeongju

Gyeongju was once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla, which ruled most of the Korean Peninsula during the 7th till 9th Centuries. Many remnants remain of this period leading to the city being known as “the museum without walls”. Today’s tour of Gyeongju takes you to Tumuli Park with more than 20 large and small tombs from the Silla period including that of King Michu, the 13th King of the dynasty. Anapji Pond is a picturesque pond where the Silla royal family spent their leisure time. During renovations to the area in the 1970’s and 80’s many relics were unearthed and are today housed in the Gyeongju National Museum alongside the Emille Bell. Top off today's sightseeing with a visit to Cheomseongdae Observatory. Overnight – Gyeongju Suites hotel

Day 8: Gyeongju

This morning visit the UNESCO listed temple of Bulguska and Seokguram Grotto, one of Asia’s finest Buddhist shrines, dramatically located on the slopes of Toham Mountain, 750 metres above sea level and looking out over the Sea of Japan. You will also visit Gyeongju folk craft village. Overnight – Gyeongju Suites hotel

Day 9: Gyeongju

After breakfast, pick up by a driver and transfer to Singyeongju station. Travel to Seoul by train. Our service ends with the train arrival in Seoul.
