Day 1: Seoul

Welcome to South Korea and the start of your epic adventure. Upon arrival in Seoul you will be met by our friendly local representative at Incheon International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Seoul

This morning as part of a coach tour with fellow tourists you will head out to visit the city's hot spots. Highlights include Cheong Wa Dae (aka The Blue House) Then visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest of the “Five Grand Palaces” built by the last Korean Dynasty, the Joseon Dynasty. After exploring the palace head to Insadong, with its wonderful markets and shops. The area has a traditional atmosphere and represents Korean culture both past and present with a mixture of modern and historical buildings and alleys. Lastly take in the wonderful panoramic views of bustling Seoul from the Seoul Tower, which is located on top of Mount Namsan.

Day 3: Seoul

Today join a coach tour to visit the DMZ and get a better understanding of the events that resulted in the division of Korea. Today's tour also includes a visit to Imjingak Park, built on the shore of the Imjin River to commemorate all those who lost their homes and were separated from their families when Korea was split in two and the 3rd North Korean Infiltration Tunnel. The tunnel was built with the intention of a surprise invasion by North Korea and discovered by South Korea in 1978 after a tip from a North Korean defector. The tunnel is approximately 1.5 kilometres in length and 150 metres below ground.

Day 4: Seoul

This morning we drive you to Danyang. Here, you will take a small ferry trip to visit Cheongpung lake, which includes seeing the mystical Gosu cave. (OVERNIGHT IN DANYANG)

Day 5: Seoul - Andong

Today we continue exploring this fantastic country with a drive onward to Andong. Arriving here, you get to pay a visit to Hahoe village and the Byeongsan seowon confucian school.

Day 6: Andong

This morning we leave Andong and visit the picturesque Mt Gayasan National Park with the spectacular Haeinsa temple being a major highlight. After, we drive to Daegu and visit the Daegu Yangnyeongsi oriental medicine museum and experience a relaxing herbal foot bath. (OVERNIGHT DAEGU)

Day 7: Andong

Travelling onward this morning we drive to Geoje-do and here, we get to explore the Haegeumgang rocks and Oedo Botania with its breathtaking array of tropical plants. (OVERNIGHT GEOJE-DO)

Day 8: Andong - Busan

Today we drive to the bustling port city of Busan. In the afternoon, we head out to explore the Busan Tower in Yongdusan Park and provides perfect views of the entire city, and after, see the vivid life of the Jagalchi Fish Market as locals haggle with the fishermen selling their fresh.

Days 9-11: Busan

For the next days time is at your leisure in Busan.

Day 12: Busan - Gyeongju

This morning we drive to Gyeongju, which served as the capital of the Silla Kingdom from 57BC – 935AD. Gyeongju is a living history museum containing archaeological sites of the Silla Kingdom as well as ancient relics pertaining to Buddhism, the national religion at the time which you will discover on your tour this afternoon, visiting highlights such as Tumuli Park, Anapji Pond, Underwater Royal tomb of King Munmu and we top off today's sightseeing with a visit to Cheomseongdae Observatory - oldest surviving observatory in East Asia and one of the world’s oldest scientific installations still in existence.

Day 13: Gyeongju

This morning head out with our guide to visit the UNESCO listed temple of Bulguska and Seokguram Grotto, one of Asia’s finest Buddhist shrines, dramatically located on the slopes of Toham Mountain, 750 metres above sea level and looking out over the Sea of Japan. We will also explore charming Yangdong village, before returning to your hotel.

Day 14: Gyeongju - Seoul

This morning we drop you at Singyeongju Station, here catch the express train back to Seoul, where on arrival our local driver waits to take you to your hotel.

Day 15: Seoul

Sadly your journey has reached its conclusion, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
