Day 1: Yangon

Welcome to Burma. Arrive Yangon Airport and after a warm welcome, transfer to your hotel. Your sightseeing begins today by visiting Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, houses the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha, photo stop at the heart of Yangon such as Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, City Hall, High Court and many colonial style buildings. In the evening, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, landmark of Myanmar and one of the greatest wonders of the world.

Day 2: Yangon - Bagan

This morning you will fly to Bagan to explore its astounding temple filled plain. After hotel formalities enjoy a full day tour of this fascinating city. Highlights included are Nyaung-U local market, the golden pagoda of Shwezigon, Kyansitta Cave temple, Gubyaukgyi cave temple and the last stop in the morning is Htilominlo, the last Bamar style temple built in Bagan. Afternoon we visit Manuha Temple, Ananda temple, and many more interesting sites, concluding with sunset at the top of Shwesandaw stupa to enjoy magnificent views over Pagan's temples and the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 3: Bagan

Early morning visit to Sulamani, one of Pagan's great two-storied Bamar style temple, and Lemethna temple, topped by an Indian-style spire similar to Ananda. Then vist the three shrines of Payathonzu and also see the Nandamanya temple with with it's fine frescoes and an unexpectedly erotic mural. In the afternoon we take a break from temples and wander through the village of Minnanthu to see how the local people live. Later we visit Abeyardanar temple, Nanpaya temple and this evening enjoy the sunset at one of the temples or pagodas.

Day 4: Bagan

Today is entirely at your leisure to explore. Worth understanding that in Bagan there are more than 2000 temples & stupas, understandably impossible to visit all within even a week. Therefore we have carefully selected only some major temples for you to see. If you want to see more temples, just let your guide or driver know and they will do there best to accommodate.

Day 5: Bagan - Inle Lake

After a flight to Heho, meet your local guide then you take a scenic route to Nyaung Shwe Jetty by travelling the uphill and winding road over the Shan Plateau. After check-in we discover the delights of beautiful Lake Inle on a full day boat trip. See the stilted houses and various cottage industries of the Intha people, visit the famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda and Nga Phe Chaung Monastery where you can see the popular jumping cats leap through hoops.

Day 6: Inle Lake

There is a wonderful tribal market once a week and if coinciding we will visit that in the early morning. After breakfast or market visit, we visit Indein village located at the western side of the lake, stopping at Nyaung Ohak Monastery along the way. On the way back to the boat, walk through a romantic bamboo forest at the riverside where you may observe local people having a bath. On the way you can visit Myaynigone village and a Lotus fibre weaving factory.

Day 7: Inle Lake - Yangon

This morning we return to Heho airport for the flight back to Yangon. Arrival here and our guide will transfer you back to your hotel. Remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: Yangon

Today your Burmese adventure comes to an end with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
