Day 1: Yangon

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, welcome and meet with local guide then transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free at leisure after long tedious flight. Green Hill Hotel

Day 2: Yangon

Today your sightseeing begins by visiting Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, houses the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha, photo stop at the heart of Yangon such as Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, City Hall, High Court and many colonial style buildings. After lunch break, visit Botahtaung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha's hair relic, Nanthida Jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River.. Stroll around in China town evening market. In the evening, visit to the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, landmark of Myanmar and one of the greatest wonders of the world. Green Hill Hotel

Day 3: Yangon - Bagan

Early morning transfer without guide to Yangon airport for flight to Bagan. Be met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Full day sightseeing tour with a visit to Nyaung-U local market, the golden pagoda of Shwezigon pagoda, which is Pagan's most important reliquary shrine – look out for images of 37 "Nats" housed in a small hall. In the afternoon, visit Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images. Next, visit Dhamayangyi, a massive-looking temple dating from end of 12th century which is famous for its interlocking mortar less brickwork. Continue to Mingalarzedi, the last of the large pagodas built in the 13th century, representing the pinnacle of Bamar pagoda architecture. At sunset, climb to the top of Shwesandaw stupa to enjoy magnificent views over Pagan's temples and the Ayeyarwady River. Green Hill Hotel

Day 4: Bagan

Early morning visit to Sulamani, one of Pagan's great two-storied Bamar style temple which has 4 seated Buddha images. Visit Lemethna temple, topped by an Indian-style spire similar to Ananda. 3 shrines of Payathonzu which are connected by passages adorned with Mahayanist or Tantric mural paintings. Visit Nandamanya temple with fine frescoes and an unexpectedly erotic mural. Take a break from temples & wander through the village of Minnanthu to see how the local people live. In the afternoon, visit many more impressive temples. See the four Buddha images in Manuha's pagoda & then, stop at Myazedi stupa to see Myanmar's "Rosetta Stone", bearing inscriptions written in four languages. In the evening enjoy the beautiful sunset at one of the temples or pagodas.

Day 5: Bagan

Enjoy Breakfast at your hotel, then embark on a day that can be as busy as you like or as relaxed as you like. The day is yours -free at leisure.

Day 6: Bagan

After breakfast, you will be driving to take a day excursion to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano standing 1518 metres high has played an important role in Myanmar culture, religion and history since earliest times. Its shrine is dedicated to the worship of the 37 Nats, the Burmese ancient animist spirits. Learn about nats and nat worship from your local guide.

Day 7: Bagan

This morning, you will fly back to Yangon with an early flight. On arrival, be met by a guide before doing some shopping in the Bogyoke market formerly "Scott market", where you can get a wide range of Myanmar handicraft, jewelries, fabrics, lacquer wares and so on. It is then time to bid you farewell. You will be transferred to Yangon airport for your flight home.
