Day 1: Yangon

Welcome to beautiful Burma! Upon your arrival into Yangon this evening we will transfer you to your hotel where you can spend a restful night after your flight.

Day 2: Yangon - Mandalay

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival visit the ancient city of Amarapura and the Mahagandaryone monastery - the largest teaching monastery in Myanmar. Then enjoy the great serenity of U Bein wooden Bridge before visiting the Mahar Myat Muni Buddha Image - the most ancient Buddha image castled in bronze in Myanmar. Stop at local handicraft workshops before driving to Innwa to see Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, the Mainu Brick Monastery and old watch tower. Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills a retreat for Buddhist devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. Your hotel is the Rupar Mandalar Resort

Day 3: Mandalay

This morning we go to Mayanchan jetty to take a day return private chartered boat trip to Mingun. Here we'll visit the Mingun Pagoda - the biggest unfinished pagoda, Mingun bell - the biggest ringing bell in the world, and Mya Thein Tan pagoda - The Taj Mahal of Myanmar. Then return by boat to Mandalay for touring of Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda - often called the world’s largest book (a set of 729 huge stone slabs on which the Buddhist scriptures are inscribed). Finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill for sunset over the city plains. Today you will enjoy a New Year's dinner at your hotel.

Day 4: Mandalay - Bagan

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to the jetty to take a full day down stream boat trip on the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River from Mandalay to Bagan. Enjoy the extraordinary scenery and interesting sights along the picturesque Ayeyarwaddy River on Shwe Kein Nayee boat or Malikha boat. In the evening, we arrive at Bagan Jetty. Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed again by local English speaking guide then transferred to your hotel for check in.

Day 5: Bagan

Bagan is home to more than 2000 temples! This morning enjoy a visit to Nyaung-U local market and the golden pagoda of Shwezigon pagoda. Spend the rest of the day with our expert guide exploring as many temples as possible. Highlights include the key temples including Htilominlo, Manuha Temple and Thatbuinnyu, and a Burmese lacquerware factory before an evening climb to the top of Shwesandaw stupa to enjoy magnificent views over Bagan's temples and the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 6: Bagan - Yangon

Early morning visit to Sulamani, one of Pagan's great two-storied Bamar style temple which has 4 seated Buddha images. We'll also visit Lemethna temple, topped by an Indian-style spire similar to Ananda, and the three shrines of Payathonzu, which are connected by passages adorned with Mahayanist or Tantric mural paintings. Visit Nandamanya temple with fine frescoes and an unexpectedly erotic mural. In the late afternoon, transfer to the airport for return flight to Yangon.

Day 7: Yangon

Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport for your onward departure flight. End of services.
