Day 1: Saigon

Day 2: Saigon

Once called the Pearl of the Orient, modern Saigon is a thriving metropolis on the move. Sleek sky scrapers, gourmet restaurants, designer malls and swanky bars and spas are scattered between ancient pagodas, colonial era landmarks and lively street markets. Our walking tour of Saigon includes visits to the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post office and the sombre War Remnants Museum. Evening at leisure. Overnight - Saigon

Day 3: Saigon

Drive to the Mekong Delta. Often referred to as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the fertile Mekong Delta is famous for its abundant harvests of tropical fruits, flowers and rice, as well as its fantastic views while boating along the canals. This afternoon you will return to Saigon. Overnight Saigon.

Day 4: Saigon - Dalat

Leaving Saigon you will travel by rail to Thap Cham (on the Golden train) upon arrival you will be met by our representatives and transferred to Dalat also referred to as the “City of thousands of pine trees”. Overnight Dalat.

Day 5: Dalat

Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Dalat. At an altitude of 1500m above sea level, Dalat was dubbed the “city of spring”, with its ideal climate for horticulture. It’s famous for its lakes, waterfalls, pine-tree forests, vegetable gardens and flowers. Today you will visit to Bao Dai residence, Crazy House art gallery, Truc Lam Temple, Prenn Waterfall, Dalat railway station and Linh Phuoc Pagoda. Overnight Dalat.

Day 6: Dalat - Danang

Another exciting rail journey awaits you today as you are transferred to Thap Cham railway station in time for your overnight train to Danang (Private Cabin Guaranteed). Overnight onboard overnight train.

Day 7: Danang - Hoi An

Welcome Danang upon arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation in Hoi An. Hoi An previously known as Cửa Hàn during early Đại Việt settlement, and as Tourane (or Turon) during French colonial rule. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Hoi An.

Days 8-9: Hoi An

Enjoy the next two days at your leisure independently exploring this city and region on your own. Overnight Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An - Hue

Before leaving Danang you will visit the Cham Sculpture Museum. You then travel to Hue. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Overnight Hue.

Day 11: Hue

Today enjoy a full day tour of Hue – including the Hue Citadel, Tu Duc, Khai Dinh Mausoleam located in Chau Chu Mountain and built for the Nguyen Emperor Khải Định. You will also visit the Royal Arena, a "garden house" (a unique architectural feature of Hue surrounded by flower gardens & orchards) after lunch you will make a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, a historic temple and it is said to be the tallest in Vietnam. Later today enjoy a relaxing boat trip along the Perfume River. Overnight Hue.

Day 12: Hue

Enjoy today to relax as you spend it at your leisure. Overnight Hue.

Days 13-14: Hue - Hanoi

Today you take to the sky for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day and tomorrow at your leisure. Overnight Hanoi.

Day 15: Hanoi

After breakfast, transfer from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. We will take an amazing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which are a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna. Many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam. While rowing through Trang An grotto, experience the peacefulness and, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water. After the boat trip, transfer back to Hanoi in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Hanoi.

Day 16: Hanoi

Spend today exploring the sites of Hanoi at your leisure. Overnight Hanoi.

Day 17: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Hanoi – Halong Bay. This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served. Overnight - Indochina Sails on Deluxe Junk Boat.

Day 18: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or a traditional massage. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. We then return to Hanoi arriving mid-afternoon. Why not spend an hour exploring the quixotic web of streets, known as the ‘36 streets of the old quarter’ on your own. Overnight Hanoi.

Enjoy your penultimate day with us relaxing as you spend the day at your leisure. Overnight Hanoi.

Today offers free time in Hanoi until your departure transfer to the airport. Opt for a relaxing foot massage or shop for souvenirs until it’s time to leave for the airport.
