Day 1: Yangon

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, welcome and meet with local guide and transfer to hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free and leisure after long tedious flight.

Day 2: Yangon

Today your sightseeing begins by visiting Kandawgyi Royal Park & Lake and surrounding area, Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, houses the fourth largest colossal reclining Buddha, a photo stop at the heart of Yangon such as City Hall, High Court and many colonial style buildings and then break at modern tea shop. In the afternoon, visit Botahtaung Pagoda and Nanthida Jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River that offers a remarkable atmosphere with spectacular colors and photo opportunities then stroll around in China town an evening market selling various kind of food, fruits and products. Evening visit to the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, landmark of Myanmar and one of the greatest wonders of the world.

Day 3: Yangon - Inle Lake

Morning transfer to airport. Flight to Heho and then take a scenic drive to Nyaung Shwe. Enroute we stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery. Upon reaching the edges of Inle Lake, board a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar's most spectacular sights. Pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Visit Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha images. Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake's main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at a weaving village of Inpawkhone and a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand.

Day 4: Inle Lake

After breakfast, visit the lake's morning 5 day market if we coincide. The market rotates its location around the lake's villages in a five day rhythm and is visited by lake inhabitants and surrounding hill tribes who come to sell and trade their wares. From the middle of the lake, continue down a small canal to the Pa-oh village of Indein. Explore the area on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school, and wander through the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area. Alaung Sitthou is filled with picturesque ancient stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below. After enjoying your visit in Dein, return to your boat. Continue along the lake for additional sightseeing before returning your hotel this afternoon.

Day 5: Inle Lake - Mandalay

Free at leisure until transfer to Heho airport for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, welcomed by local English speaking stationed guide and then transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 6: Mandalay

Today we visit Mahagandaryone monastery and the visit Mahar Myat Muni Buddha Image and head your way to the handicraft workshops such as bronze sculpture, gold leaf beating and marble stone carving. Then drive to Innwa (Ava) and visit the Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, Mae Nu Brick Monastery and old watch tower. Tour continues to picturesque Sagaing Hills, 21 km south-east of Mandalay and west bank of Ayeyarwaddy River and visit the village of Ywataung to see the traditional silver workshop, Khaung Mu Daw pagoda, Sagaing Hills to visit monasteries & Soon U Ponya Shin pagoda etc, and then enjoy the beautiful sunset at U-Bein Wooden Bridge, and take a walk along the bridge to Kyauktawgyi Pagoda.

Day 7: Mandalay

Today we go to Mayanchan jetty to take the day return private chartered boat trip to Mingun. Visit Mingun Pagoda, Mingun bell, Mya Thein Tan pagoda. Then return by boat to Mandalay. Then we visit Mya Nan San Kyaw Palace. This golden palace represents Myanmar Sovereignty and independence and can arouse national patriotic spirit among Myanmar people, Shwenandaw Monastery: noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the world’s biggest book. Finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill, the natural watch-tower for the visitors to watch sunrise or sunset over the city plains.

Day 8: Mandalay

This morning, depart Mandalay for a 3-hour drive to Monywa River. We'll reach Monywa at midday and check into the hotel. Take time to freshen up before starting your sightseeing around Monywa. This afternoon begin with a visit to Thanboddhay Pagoda, a huge Buddhist temple covered with more than 500,000 Buddha images. Also stop at Boditahtaung Pagoda which houses the largest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar, at 100m long and 27m high. Nearby is the largest standing Buddha in the world, Laykyun Setkyar, at 423 feet in height. Having explored the sites and sceneries of Monywa we then head to the banks of the river to watch the sun set.

Day 9: - Bagan

Proceed for a visit to Po Win Taung (approx. 1 hour drive) and Shwe Ba Taung. We then continue down the 'road less traveled' for another 90 minutes, passing traditional villages where you may see farmers climbing palm trees to extract juice from which they will produce palm tree sugar. Stop at Kyet Su Kyin village for an opportunity to learn more about the lifestyle and culture of the countryside residents. Then, continue your journey to Bagan approx. 1 hour by passing New Bridge on Ayewayrwaddy River. En route stop at Pakokku. We will arrive to Bagan in the evening and transfer to hotel for check in. Today, we will enjoy X’mas eve dinner at hotel. Overnight 3 star hotel Monywa.

Day 10: Bagan

Today's excursion visits a range of sites, providing a great overview of Bagan's history, culture and lifestyles. The journey begins at Thagyar Pone Temple, a temple with spectacular views over the surrounding plains. Next continue to Ananda Temple. Afterwards we will go to Myinkaba Village and Gubyaukgyi Temple. Nearby is Manuha Temple and Nan Paya Temple, two smaller temples with nice Buddha statues and stone work. Watch as the skilled craftsmen use techniques passed down through generations to create beautiful items. Late this afternoon we'll take a relaxing horsecart ride through the temple area, starting at the soaring Thetbyin Nyu and continue to the massive Dhammayangyi temple before finishing at North Guni Temple to watch the sun set over the plains.

Day 11: Bagan

Today take a break from temple touring in the morning with a visit around Bagan's local villages. Start at the Nyuang Oo morning market where locals gather every day to buy and sell everything from fresh produce and meats to flowers and pottery. There are many food stalls around as well as tea shops, a great vantage point for watching the busy morning market. Then learn the interesting process of creating "Poneyay" (pea powder paste) and how local plum jam is made and packed. In addition, you will visit the villages and observe about how Cartwrights make a traditional bullock carts, still used by farmers and locals throughout the country. In the afternoon, your car and guide will be at your disposal for last minute shopping or sightseeing.

Day 12: Bagan - Yangon

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for return flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. The whole day is free at leisure.

Day 13: Yangon

Today is sadly your last day with your departure airport transfer.
