Day 1: Yangon

Welcome to Burma and the start of your journey, arrive Yangon Airport and after a warm welcome from our local team you then transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. This afternoon your guide will take you to explore the city including the Gaba Aye (World Peace) pagoda and Mahapasana Cave, a replica of the Satta Panni cave in India where the first Buddhist Synod (council) took place. The cave is 139 metres long and 110 metres wide. This evening, we visit the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, landmark of Myanmar and one of the greatest wonders of the world.

Day 2: Yangon - Bagan

Fly to Bagan to explore its astounding temple filled plain. En route to your hotel visit the beautiful golden Shwezigon Pagoda and the 13th century Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with its lovely frescoes. Afternoon sightseeing includes key temples and a Burmese lacquerware factory before an evening excursion to Ananda, Bagan’s finest and most revered temple.

Day 3: Bagan

Enjoy the day exploring up close some of the many temples in the region, including; Sulamani, one of Pagan's great two-storied Bamar style temple which has 4 seated Buddha images, Lemethna temple, which is topped by an Indian-style spire, the three shrines of Payathonzu, Nandamanya temple with fine frescoes and an unexpectedly erotic mural and finally Nanpaya temple, built in the Mon style with intricate stone carvings, and said once to have been Manuha's residence. In the evening enjoy the beautiful sunset at Bu Payar that situated on the bank of the famous Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 4: Bagan

Enjoy a day trip to Mount Popa today. Mystical Mount Popa, is an extinct volcano which is believed to be the abode of spirits. 777 winding steps are carved into the side of the mountain, taking pilgrims up to the striking Popa Taungkalat monastery which sits atop the mountain. On the drive back to to Bagan we stop to visit Minnanthu village to see how the local people live.

Day 5: Bagan - Inle Lake

After a flight to Heho, transfer to picturesque Pindaya, located on the shores of Lake Pindaya to explore its remarkable caves which contain over 9000 Buddha statues before driving on to Nyaung Shwe. This afternoon we explore the delights of beautiful Lake Inle on a boat trip. See the stilted houses and various cottage industries of the Intha people and visit the famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda and Nga Phe Chaung Monastery.

Day 6: Inle Lake

This morning visit a Indein village, located at the western side of the lake, passing Nyaung Ohak Monastery along the way for a visit. After explore the Indein Pagoda, an incredible collection of weathered stupas dating back to the 13th century, enjoy a walk through a bamboo forest at the riverside before returning to your hotel.

Day 7: Inle Lake

This morning a visit to the famous 5 day market day (provided we so coincide). You will see hill tribes trading their farm products of vegetables, fruits, sun dried tea leaves, art, works of wooden sculpture with their unique style in a bustling atmosphere. The afternoon learn all about the local cottage industry with a boat trip to see a silverware workshop, silk and lotus workshops and traditional iron work.

Day 8: Inle Lake - Ngapali

After breakfast at the hotel, we will hotel check out then transfer to the airport for flight to Thandwe. Arriving here, the hotels shuttle awaits to drive you to your Ngapali Beach Hotel.

Days 9-10: Ngapali

Today and tomorrow enjoy time to explore the gorgeous beaches of Ngapali.

Day 11: Ngapali - Yangon

Enjoy the last of the beach until your return transfer to Ngapali Airport for your flight to Yangon. Arriving back in the big city a transfer awaits to take you to the hotel.

Day 12: Yangon

This morning enjoy some time shopping in the Bogyoke market formerly "Scott market". After a visit to Botahtaung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha's hair relic we conclude with going to Nanthida Jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon's River that offers a remarkable atmosphere with spectacular colors and photo opportunities. We then say goodbye with a transfer to the airport in time for your flight home. Then transfer to the airport for your departure or onward flight.
