Day 1: Colombo

Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at Pegasus Reef Hotel or similar.

Day 2: Colombo

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed on sightseeing tour of Colombo-drive through the commercial area of the Fort , drive passed Pettah-a noisy oriental bazaar , mosques&temples. Visit Hindu temple&drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens. Overnight at Pegasus Reef Hotel or similar.

Day 3: Colombo - Giritale

Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Giritale-En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants. The best time to visit is during the feeding time, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants bein g bottle-fed. Overnight at Deer Park Hotel or similar.

Day 4: Giritale

Breakfast at hotel. Morning proceed to Sigiriya-Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the Heavenly Maidens of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. Afternoon, sightseeing of Polonnaruwa . Overnight at Deer Park Hotel or similar.

Day 5: Giritale

Breakfast at hotel. We visit Anuradhapura, the fascinating ancient city and one of Sri Lanka’s most important archaeological sites. It contains vast artificial lakes, temples, statues including the Samadhi Buddha, dagobas, royal baths and museums. We also visit the holy Sri Maha Bodhi tree under which Prince Siddharta attained enlightenment. Overnight at Deer Park Hotel or similar.

Day 6: Giritale - Kandy

Breakfast at hotel. Today we leave for Kandy - En route visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a World heritage site and the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. We also visit a spice garden in Matale to see the different spices. Check in at Chaaya Citadel. Evening proceed to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Overnight at Chaaya Citadel Hotel or similar.

Day 7: Kandy

Breakfast at hotel. Morning proceed to visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which was originally built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala King and was expanded by the British. Later we proceed on a sightseeing of Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings. Drive around the Kandy Lake and Bazaar, the arts&crafts centre. Overnight at Chaaya Citadel or similar.

Day 8: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Nuwara Eliya- En route visit a Tea plantation and a Tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You can see how tea is graded and taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Proceed to Nuwawra Eliya, Sri Lanka's most popular hill resort. Sri Lanka's higest mountain Pidurutalagala(8288feet)is located here. Evening leave on a sightseeing of Nuwara Eliya-Drive through Little England. Overnight at Grand Hotel or similar.

Day 9: Nuwara Eliya - Yala National Park

Breakfast at hotel. Morning leave for Yala. evening proceed on a Jeep Safari to visit the Yala National Park, the largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is home to elephants, wild boar, buffalo, leopard, crocodile and myriad birdlife. Overnight at Chaaya Wild or similar.

Day 10: Yala National Park - Kalutara

Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Kalutara. Rest of the day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at Tangerine Beach Hotel or similar.

Day 11: Kalutara

Breakfast at hotel. Day at leisure on the beach. Overnight at Tangerine Beach Hotel or similar.

Day 12: Kalutara

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport.
