Day 1: Colombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival this evening we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.

Day 2: Colombo - Dambulla

Morning proceed on sightseeing tour of Colombo - Drive through the Commercial area of the “Fort” so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort at this point. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square and Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall. And also visit Gangaramaya Temple. We then proceed onto Dambulla. Overnight Kalundewa Retreat “Boutique Concept” – (Standard Room).

Day 3: Dambulla

Morning proceed to Sigiriya - Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster. Thereafter proceed on a Jeep Safar to visit the Minneriya National Park before returning back to the hotel. Day 4: Dambulla - Kandy

Morning proceed to visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. Climb up to the temple. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and the ceiling is the largest area of paintings found in the world. Thereafter proceed to “Child Action Lanka, Volunteer” – On completion proceed to Kandy – Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Day 5: Kandy

KANDY - HATTON Morning proceed to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Thereafter proceed at 1145Hrs to the Peradeniya Railway Station to board the observation train independantly leaving for Hatton at 1230Hrs. Get in to the observation gallery and take a joy ride from Peradeniya to Hatton. On arrival at the Hatton Railway Station, meet up with the chauffeur Guide and proceed to the hotel. Day 6:

HATTON Today you can climb Adams Peak! The remainder of the day is free. Overnight Ceylon Tea Trails “Boutique Concept” – (Luxury Room).

Day 7: - Galle

HATTON - GALLE Leave for Galle – Visit the Galle Fort - The Galle fort was built first by the Portuguese, and then modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Even today, after 400 years of existence, it looks new and polished with reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Today Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. Day 8: Galle

Proceed to enjoy a scenic cruise along the Madhu River, a relaxing trip with plenty of interesting stops. You pass dozens of islets forested with mangroves and can appreciate the timeless natural rhythms of rural life. You cruise in a canopied, outboard motor powered boat; pausing to view a 200-year-old temple & to watch the locals cultivating cinnamon. You may also see traditional fishing techniques in action & can view demonstrations of coir manufacture and rope making. Overnight Galle Fort Hotel “Boutique Concept” – (Garden Room).

Day 9: Galle

Sadly your last day with us with your departure airport transfer.
