Welcome to Sri Lanka and your journey discovering all the tear drop isle has to offer. Arriving in the morning you will meet our local team who await to take you on the coastal road driving past gorgeous beaches and stunning villages to the town of Galle. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying free time to explore the 17th century fort. Within the fort, are narrow streets filled with churches and colonial buildings. Airport to Galle approximately 160 km and travelling time 4 ½ hours.
This morning, we visit Bundala National Park – a bird sanctuary before arriving at our final destination Yala National Park. This evening, we enjoy a jeep safari. The largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is home to elephants, wild boar, buffalo, leopard, crocodile and myriad bird life. Galle to Bundala approximately 140 km and travelling time 3 ½ hours. Bundala to Yala approximately 195 km and travelling time 6 hours.
This morning enjoy a return jeep safari into Yala Park spotting the fantastic array of wildlife on offer. We then depart and drive to Kandy, along the way stopping for a nice late lunch in Nuwara Eliya. This evening enjoy the first of your evening viewings of the famous festival. Yala to Kandy approximately 140 km and travelling time 3 ½ hours.
Today, we visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela, home to around 60 elephants. Continuing, we visit the ruined temples of Embekke, Gadaladeniya and Lankatilleke and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Back in Kandy, a scenic lakeside town, we visit the lake, bazaar, gem museum and lapidary. This evening witness your second night of the incredible festivities taking place. Kandy to Pinnawala approximately 41 km 1 hour. Kandy city tour approximately (Including 03 temples) 80 km and 05 hours (including visiting time)
Heading back to the coast but this time on the other side of Sri Lanka you are destined for the gorgeous lesser known resort town of Passikudah. Arriving here, you are welcomed by stunning beaches and fantastic hospitality at your hotel. Kandy to Passekudah approximately 190 km and 6 hour.

This morning we resume our journey with a drive to visit ancient Polonnaruwa, an 11th century city of compact size. We explore the ruins of the Royal Palace, temples and Gal Vihara which boasts 3 enormous Buddha figures. After we continue to Sigiriya – the elevated and mysterious 5th century fortress ruins of King Kasyapa. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. Passekudah to Polonnaruwa Approximately 80 km 02 ½ hours. Polonnaruwa to Sigiriya approximately 60 km 02 hours.
This morning we discover the stunning site of the Aukana Buddha statue and the impressive Dambulla Rock Temple which contain beautiful frescoes of Buddha. We then head back to the coast line to Negombo along the way time permitting we will make a stop to see some of the capital city Colombo's highlights. Sigiriya to Dambulla approximately 20 km 45 minutes hours. Dambulla to Aukana approximately 45 km 01 ½ hours Aukana to Negombo approximately 160 km 4 ½ hours
