Habarana is a small city in the centre of Sri Lanka, 100 km from Kandy. It is a popular destination for high class tourists as well as safari lovers.

Habarana is home to a number of safari parks. Hurulu Eco Park is a great place to head off in a jeep in search of the vast array of birds as well as the real draw card, the Sri Lankan elephants. It is also possible to head out on safari on elephant back which is a fantastic and unique experience.

Habarana is home to a number of high end luxury eco resorts. All scattered around the lush green surroundings and the nearby lakes.

The location of Habarana is perfect with most of the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Cultural Triangle close by, including Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Sigiriya.
