Day 1: Habarana

Welcome to Sri Lanka and the start of your holiday! Upon arrival in Colombo you will be transferred to Habarana. This afternoon visit the impressive Dambulla Rock Temple. Dambulla is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. metres of painted walls and the ceiling is the largest area of paintings found in the world. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight Habarana - Chaaya Village

Day 2: Habarana

Today we drive to Sigiriya and the famous ‘Lion Rock’ fortress. Built over 1500 years ago, this beautiful citadel rises 200 meters from the scrub jungle. It can be viewed from miles around and is definitely one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites. This afternoon visit Polonnaruwa - an 11th century city of compact size, home to many interesting ruins and famous monuments including the Royal Palace and the Gal Vihara comprising of three enormous Buddha figures. Day 3: Habarana

This morning leave for Arugam Bay, the rest of the day is at your leisure to soak up the sun, sea and surf. Overnight Arugam Bay - Kottukal Beach House

Day 6: - Kandy

Theres time for one last surf before leaving for Kandy. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight Kandy - Cinnamon Citadel

Day 7: Kandy

After breakfast visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala, home for about 89 elephants, some of which were found abandoned in the wild. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when you will see the baby elephants being bottle-fed. We then visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, built by a Sinhala king and expanded by the British its home to an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. In the afternoon we have a city tour of Kandy, which was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. This evening we visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Overnight Kandy - Cinnamon Citadel

Day 8: Kandy

Sadly your tour comes to an end with us today, after an early start you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
