Welcome to Sri Lanka and the start of your holiday! You'll be met at Colombo Airport by our friendly local team and transferred to hotel.
Morning we drive to Nuwara Eliya – En route, visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela - This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by the wildlife authorities. Second stop of the day will be a visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced.
By Jeep this morning we depart early for Horton Plains. Located on a high windswept saddle, Horton Plains offers the walker stunning panoramic views. We’ll hike to Bakers Fall passing en route the Gem Pit Pool, the Chimney Pool, and the Leg of Mutton Pool and then return to Nuwara Eliya
Morning transfer to Nanu Oya Railway Station to board the Observation Saloon leaving for Ella - This dramatic ride will get you chance of viewing some of the magnificent sites of Sri Lanka. Stunning waterfalls, breathtaking views, long tunnels, etc are common sites in this trip. Arriving into Ella, our local driver is on hand to take you to your hotel in Yala.
This morning we enjoy a jeep safari. The largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is home to elephants, wild boar, buffalo, leopard, crocodile and myriad birdlife. Remainder of the afternoon at your leisure to explore.
This morning enjoy another Jeep Safari to visit the Yala National Park this time we will be trying especially to see Leopards. On completion we drive to your hotel in Hikkaduwa.
Today and tomorrow sit back and relax and enjoy some downtime by the beach.
Sadly your journey comes to an end today, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
