Day 1: Colombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival we will be there to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Colombo

Proceed on a sightseeing tour Colombo - Drive through the Commercial area of the “Fort” so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort at this point. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square and Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall and also visit Gangaramaya Temple.

Day 3: Colombo

Today is a free day for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 4: Colombo - Nuwara Eliya

Leave for Nuwara Eliya via Pinnawela - This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. On completion leave for Nuwara Eliya – En route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

Leave for Uda-Walawe via Ella - Ella is blessed with some of the most beautiful views, you could find in Sri Lanka. Sights in Ella include the Ravana Ella Falls, Little Adam's Peak and Bambaragala Peak among other stunning scenery. The Ravana Ella was named after the demon ruler of Sri Lanka Ravana who is the main antagonist in the renowned epic Ramayana. It is believed that he hid Sita whom he kidnapped in India, in the caves situated behind the falls. The Ravana Ella falls has a main drop which is 30 feet in height, and it is ranked as one of the widest falls in the country.

Day 7: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

Morning proceed on a Jeep Safari in Uda-Walawe National Park - This national park was established in 1972 to protect the catchment area of the Uda Walawe reservoir, crucial to the livelihoods of the farmers in the south east dry zone with the land only recently reverting back from cultivation, the park has some fascinating characteristics that make it well worth a visit. Not least of these is the large elephant population. This afternoon is free.

Day 8: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

Today is a free day before this evening proceed on another Jeep Safari..

Day 9: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya - Galle

Leaving today for Galle we visit the Galle Dutch Fortress - The Galle fort was built first by the Portuguese, and then modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Even today, after 400 years of existence, it looks new and polished with reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Today Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world.

Days 10-11: Galle

The next two days is free for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 12: Galle - Unawatuna

Today you will be transferred to Unawatuna with the remainder of the day free.

Days 13-14: Unawatuna

The next two days is free for you to relax or explore independently.

Day 15: Unawatuna

Sadly your last day with us, hotel check-out and departure airport transfer.
