Day 1: Mount Lavinia

Meet on arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport by an Asian Adventures Representative and transfer to Mount Lavinia. Check in at the Hotel – Direct Ocean View Room – Rest of the day at leisure Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel. Note – Room-pre booked from the 12th Jan onwards for early check-in.

Day 2: Mount Lavinia - Kandy

Breakfast at hotel – Leave for Kandy – En route visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. The best time to visit is during the feeding times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being fed. Also could accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their bath. Thereafter proceed on a sightseeing tour of Kandy - Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still kept alive. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing. Return to hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 3: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

In the Morning proceed to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya - It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Afterwards leave for Nuwara Eliya - En route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Then you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country producing a significant share of the world’s best tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Evening - leave on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya – Drive through "Little England”

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya - Yala National Park

Breakfast at hotel – Morning leave from Nuwara Eliya to Yala – Afternoon proceed on a Jeep Safari to visit the Yala National Park - Famous for its high density of leopards, perhaps the highest in the world. You are also sure to see elephants. There is a plethora of reptilian species and platoons of crocodiles. There is stunning birdlife including the flamingo and the severely endangered black necked stork. Dense jungles suddenly give way to lagoons and open plain areas and the park has a simply beautiful sea front. Boulders dominate the horizon and the elegant leopard can often be seen basking atop the sun baked rock. On completion return back to the hotel – Rest of the day at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Yala National Park - Bentota and Beruwala

Breakfast at hotel – Yalla to Bentotao - Proceed on a sightseeing tour of Tissamaharama - On completion leave for Bentota – Check in at the Hotel – Rest of the day at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Bentota and Beruwala

Breakfast at hotel – Day at leisure on the beach – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Bentota and Beruwala

Breakfast at hotel – Day at leisure on the beach – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Bentota and Beruwala - Colombo

Breakfast at hotel – Leave for Colombo – Proceed on a sightseeing tour of Colombo - Drive through the Commercial area of the “Fort” so named, because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a Fort at this point. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square and Bandaranayke Memorial International Conference Hall. And also visit Gangaramaya Temple. Rest of the day at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9: Colombo

Leave for the airport to connect with the departure flight.

Day 12: - Negombo

Meet on arrival at the Bandaranayke international Airport by an Asian Adventures Representative and transfer to Negombo – Check in at Hotel – Rest of the day at leisure – Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.

Leave for the airport to connect with the departure flight
