Day 1: Trincomalee

This morning you will be transferred from your hotel in Jaffna and transferred to Trincomalee where you check into your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure. Trincomalee is a port city that lies on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Known as ‘Trinco’ to the locals, the city is built on a peninsula that divides the inner and outer harbours. It is one of the main centres of Tamil speaking culture and the name Trincomalee means ‘Lord of the Sacred Hill’, a reference to the famous Koneswaram temple.

Day 2: Trincomalee

After breakfast today you have the rest of the day at your leisure to enjoy the unspoilt and clean scenic beaches which are perfect for swimming. If lucky you may even spot a Whale or two.

Day 4: Trincomalee

After breakfast today you leave for Pasikuda where you check into your hotel and the rest of your day is at leisure. This evening there is a compulsory Christmas Eve Dinner at the hotel. OVERNIGHT-Centara Pasikuda

Day 6: - Sigiriya

Today after breakfast you proceed on a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa- A world heritage site which was the 2nd capital of Sri Lanka, built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace and the Gal Viharaya with the 4 statues of Budhha in different postures. On completion of the tour you shall proceed to Sigirya where you check into your hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 7: Sigiriya

This morning proceed to visit Sigiriya Rock - Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The 'Lion Rock' is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens' of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. On Completion of the tour return to your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 8: Sigiriya - Kandy

Breakfast at hotel – Leave for Kandy - En route visit the Dambulla Rock temple - Climb up to the temple, which was donated by king Walagambahu in the 1st century BC to Buddhist monks. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. On completion of the tour leave for Kandy. En route visit a spice garden in Matale. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. After this you will transferred to the hotel in Kandy where you can check in and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 9: Kandy

Today we visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela. This orphanage is the home for about 90 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. Afterwards we go back to Kandy and go on a city tour followed by a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and then enjoy a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

Day 10: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel we depart for Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea plantation and factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea and see how tea is graded, then enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. On completion proceed to Nuwara Eliya where you can check in to your hotel. In the evening leave on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 11: Nuwara Eliya - Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

This morning leave for Uda-walawe upon arrival you check in to your hotel. In the evening proceed to Uda-Walawe National Park on a Jeep Safari – The Uda Walawe National Park is approximately 30,821 hectares in extent. This Park which lies within the Ratnapura and Monaragala Districts acts as the catchment to the Uda Walawe Reservoir and is located in the Dry Zone. It comprises grasslands and thorn scrubs and large herds of Elephants and Deer species such as spotted Deer, Sambhur, Barking deer and Langur, Wild Boar, Water Buffalo, Jackal are some of the prominent wild animals found. On completion return back to the hotel.

Day 12: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya - Colombo

After breakfast at the hotel leave for Colombo via Ratnapura. Ratnapura is the gem-mining centre of Sri Lanka is also a major crossroad between the southern plains and the hill country to the east. A bustling market city servicing most of the surrounding towns, many of the prominent gem dealers in Sri Lanka operate from this town. Upon arriving In Colombo you check in to your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 13: Colombo

Today we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Sri Lanka’s capital to include the Fort, Galle Face Green – a seaside expanse popular for informal cricket games, the Pettah – a noisy oriental bazaar, a visit to Gamgarama temple, Cinnamon Gardens and Independence Square. On completion return back to the hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 14: Colombo

Today we bid you farewell and transfer you to Colombo Bandaranayake International airport to connect with you onward flight.
