This morning we will collect you from your hotel in Hikkaduwa and drive to Yala National Park. This evening, we enjoy a jeep safari. The largest national park in Sri Lanka, Yala is home to elephants, wild boar, buffalo, leopard, crocodile and myriad birdlife.
This morning we drive to Kitugala. Arriving here, you have the entire day to go White Water Rafting you can pay and book this locally on arrival without problem. (OVERNIGHT AT THE KITUGALA REST)
This morning/early afternoon is entirely at your leisure you can do further rafting if you so choose to book and pay for the same locally. Late afternoon leave for Adams Peak (Nallathanniya) – Check in at Punsis Inn 2* - (Standard Room) – Refresh before heading to climb Adams Peak. The climb to Adams Peak starts late evening and the descend completes the following day in the morning.
When you descended down Adam’s Peak, meet up with the Chauffeur Guide and leave for Nuwara Eliya. Arriving here, you can relax for the day.
Enjoy a leisurely morning to explore Nuwara Eliya. LLater we drive to Kandy. En route visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. You will be told all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.
This morning we explore the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya - This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Back in Kandy, a scenic lakeside town, we visit the lake, bazaar, gem museum and lapidary. Tonight, we visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. After, we enjoy a cultural dance show.
This morning we head off to visit a spice garden in Matale, to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. We then drive onward to explore the impressive Dambulla Rock Temple which contains beautiful frescoes of Buddha.
This morning we explore the elevated and mysterious 5th century fortress ruins of King Kasyapa. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. This afternoon is spent Hiking / Biking through rural villages of Sigiriya.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to Colombo Airport in time for your flight home.
