Day 1: Colombo

Meet on arrival at the Bandaranayke International airport & transfer to your hotel - Rest of the day at leisure – Welcome Dinner at Hotel

Day 2: Colombo

Afternoon proceed on sightseeing Tour of Colombo. Drive passed “Pettah” – a noisy Oriental bazaar with a hotchpotch of Humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques & temples. Visit Hindu temple & drive pass Jumi-UL Alfar Jumma Mosque, Continue the tour through the Wolvendaal Dutch Church, Hultsdorf Law courts, to the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens and on to the Independence Square and Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall. And also visit Gangarama Temple

Day 3: Colombo - Giritale

Leave for Giritale – En route visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. Dambulla is a World Heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. On completion proceed to Giritale. Afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya – where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in ‘Upright’, ‘Sedentary’ and ‘Recumbent’ postures carved out of rock. There are also monuments of famous places of worship and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic

Day 4: Giritale - Kandy

Morning proceed to Sigiriya - Climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. On completion leave for Kandy – En route visit a Spice garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for.

Day 5: Kandy

Proceed to visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela - This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. On completion return back to Kandy – En route visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. City tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. We visit the town, Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

Day 6: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Leave for Nuwara Eliya – En-route visit a Tea plantation and a Tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. On completion, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka’s most popular hill resort. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Evening leave on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya including the Hakgala Gardens – Drive through "Little England”

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya

Leave for Embilipitiya. Afternoon proceed on a Jeep Safari to visit the Uda-Walawe National Park – This national park was established in 1972 to protect the catchment area of the Uda Walawe reservoir. Not least of these is the large elephant population. Uda Walawe is the most reliable place to see elephants in their wild habitat year round. As well as elephants, leopards live in the park, toque monkeys, grey langur, spotted deer, wild pig and sambar.

Day 8: Udawalawe N.P. and Embilipitiya - Colombo

Leave for Wattala via Ratnapura visiting Gem Mines - The gem-mining centre of Sri Lanka is also a major crossroad between southern plains and the hill country to the east. A bustling market city servicing most of the surrounding towns, many of the prominent gem dealers in Sri Lanka operate from this town. Scenery around the town is excellent and charming.Proceed to Wattala

Day 9: Colombo - The Maldives

Breakfast at Hotel – Transfer to airport to connect with the departure flight to Maldives DEPARTURE 0715HRS / ARRIVAL 0815HRS– On arrival, meet our representative at the Male International Airport & transfer to the resort by Speedboat - Check in at Meeru Resort - (Water Villas all inclusive) - Rest of the day at leisure

Days 10-15: The Maldives

Breakfast at hotel – Day at leisure on the beach – All inclusive & Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 16: The Maldives

Breakfast at hotel – Leave the resort by Speedboat to the Male international airport to connect with departure flight.
