Easter Island or Rapa Nui One of the most isolated islands in the world, even flying in to Easter Island is a bit of an event. The plane starts to lose height and the wheels drop down, but it is not until the last moment that you can actually see the Island. Once there, the treeless landscape, is offset by the immense statues for which the Island is famous. One set overlook Anakena Beach - a fantastic white sand beach where locals and tourists alike enjoy swimming, while another, Ahu Tongariki, stand guard overlooking a lonely and exposed stretch of ocean are simply magnificent in its scale. Contact us for 4 or 5 day tailor-made stopovers en-route to or from Australia & New Zealand.
