Inspirations for your safari to Tanzania
Make your tailor made safari to Tanzania extra special. Here are some of our favourite things to do whilst visiting Tanzania.
Relax on Zanzibar
Head to the beautiful island of Zanzibar for a few days of relaxation. From the stunning beaches of Nungwi and Kendwa in the north to Kiwengwa and Pongwe to the east. The port town of Stone Town is a great place to explore and head off on the fun Spice Tour where you learn about all of Zanzibar’s great spices as well as its fascinating history.
Visit a Masai Village
When you think of tribes in Africa, there is certainly one tribe that stands out more than most – the famous Masai tribe. Adorned with (usually) red blanket robes, carrying wooden sticks to help herd their cattle and jumping higher than most humans! A visit to a traditional Masai village gives a great insight into their way of life, their important traditions and you can also see if you can jump as high as them (well the men can!)
Spotting leopard in the Serengeti
Most people say that seeing a leopard on safari is one of their favourite moments of any trip to Africa. The Serengeti is certainly one of the better places to spot them. High up in the trees these ambush predators don’t make life easy for keen leopard spotters – but it makes actually sighting one all the more worthwhile.
Stay at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge
High above the craters edge sits the simply sumptuous Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. This colonial beauty offers some of the best hospitality in Tanzania. Enjoy sundowners from your private stilted suite looking over the crater, make the most of the private butler service and enjoy long hot bubble baths made for you for when you return from a dusty day exploring the crater and the Serengeti!

Climb to the roof of Africa
Sitting at a lofty 5900km, Mount Kilimanjaro is the biggest free standing mountain in the world. Every year thousands of people attempt the tough but highly rewarding climb which is popular due to its non-technical ability. If it appeals to you then it is a great thing to do before a nice relaxing beach break on Zanzibar or an exciting safari holiday in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater!
