Day 1: Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul the only city that is built on two different continents. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul - Cappadocia

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, transfer to Cappadocia. Visit the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon visit Open Air Museum in Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 3: Cappadocia

We take a guided tour of the region. Cappadocia is an extraordinary national treasure and perhaps even the top jewel in Turkey's illustrious crown. The utter improbability of the seemingly surreal landscapes have to be seen to be believed, with the 'stuff of fables' cave dwellings and phallic ' fairy chimneys' landscape. Whole troglodyte villages, subterranean churches and fortresses hewn from the soft, eroded volcanic rock make great sightseeing.

Day 4: Cappadocia - Canakkale

Today is a travelling day as you take an early flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival you will be transferred by road to Canakkale. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure exploring this coastal town. Overnight Canakkale.

Day 5: Canakkale - Istanbul

This morning, we drive to the Gallipoli Peninsular. On 25 April 1915, Allied soldiers landed at what has become known as ANZAC Cove. Some half a million lost their lives in ferocious combat. A lasting legacy of this fateful campaign are the many poignant war memorials including the national memorials of Australia and New Zealand - Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair, along with numerous carefully tended cemeteries, the remains of crudely dug trenches and of course ANZAC Cove. Here pay your respects, perhaps place a flower on the grave of one of our brave troops and learn about the history of the men who came to be known as the ANZACs on our guided tour of the area. Return to Istanbul for overnight. Overnight Istanbul.

Day 6: Istanbul

After breakfast in your hotel, there is a full day guided tour which includes St. Sophia the cathedral built by Emperor Justinian in 537 which was the largest church in Christendom for a thousand years, the Byzantine Hippodrome with its various monuments including a 3500-year-old red granite obelisk brought from Egypt and erected here in 390 AD. The Ottoman Empire produced marvelous architecture and you'll see two of its finest works: Topkapi Palace, home of the sultans, and the famed Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmet I. Later this afternoon you'll venture into the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar. Over Istanbul.

Day 7: Istanbul

We say our good byes today as you are transferred to the cruise terminal.
