Welcome to Yerevan, the first country on our amazing adventure through Eurasia. Arrive with included transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day is free to enjoy at leisure. Overnight - Yerevan
Our first stop of the day is the holy city of Echmiadzin, the Vatican of the Armenian Apostolic Church and home to the Ejmiatsin Cathedral. Built in 480 the cathedral is enclosed in a walled compound that features manicured gardens and various stone structures. Nearby is the Zvartnots Temple, a complex of temples and palaces built in the 7th century. The magnificent ruins are UNESCO-listed and considered of great architectural importance. We later continue to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia and one of the oldest cities in the world, stretching under the gaze of biblical Mt. Ararat Overnight - Yerevan
A short drive from Yerevan brings us to the Khor Virap Monastery, a place of pilgrimage for Armenians all over the world. Khor Virap affords stunning views of the biblical Mt. Ararat and photo opportunities abound. We next proceed to the region of Vayots Dzor to visit the Monastery of Noravank, one of the most splendid monuments of medieval Armenia. Built in a spot of tremendous natural beauty, the surrounding mountains often display a beautiful array of colours from the sun’s reflections. On our way back to Yerevan we visit a brandy factory offering the chance to sample three different types of cognac. Overnight - Yerevan
Way to ARM/GEO border Bagratashen/Sadakhlo.. Proceed to ARM/GEO border Bagratashen. Meet with the new guide and driver. Change of guide and driver. Then you will drive to Tibilisi and transferred to Airport for your flight so Istanbul. Then you will fly to Kayseri and transferred to your hotel in Cappadocia.
Cappadocia. This morning opt for a hot air balloon ride over the incredible landscape of Cappadocia, before embarking upon a full day sightseeing tour of the region. Discover the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, visit the Kaymakli Underground City where early Christians took refuge from their persecutors and the Open Air Museum in Goreme - where you can view some of the best examples of Byzantine art in the rock cut churches with frescoes and paintings dating back to the 10th century. You will also visit the natural fortress of Uchisar before being given a demonstration of the local handicrafts of hand-made carpets, Turkish tiles, onyx and potteries. Overnight - Cappadocia
Cappadocia – Pamukkale. Today we drive onward to Pamukkale via the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece of Sultanhan Caravanserai and Konya. In Konya visit the 13th century Mevlana Museum; the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. It contains the tomb of Mevlana, a leading philosopher and mystic of Islam, which remains an important place of pilgrimage. Afterwards continue your journey onward to Pamukkale. Overnight - Pamukkale
Pamukkale. After breakfast visit the incredible white calcium terraces of Pamukkale and ancient Hierapolis, with its Necropolis graveyard of over 1200 graves. The Temple of Apollo, the Plutonium, dating back to third century BC and the sacred pool are some of the highlights of Hierapolis. The shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath. Later fly back to Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul.
After breakfast enjoy a full day tour of the magnificent city of Istanbul. Explore Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Roman Hippodrome; once home to chariot races, gladiatorial battles and public executions, before trying your hand at a spot of haggling in the Grand Bazaar. Tonight there is an optional Turkish dinner with traditional Turkish entertainment. Overnight - Istanbul
Today, visit the Egyptian Spice market (stock up on bargain saffron, spices and Turkish Delight here!) before enjoying a cruise on the Bosphorus - the body of water that separate European from Asian Istanbul. Later, visit the Beyerbeyi Palace in all its sultanate splendour and take in the stunning views atop the city’s highest point - Buyuk Camlica. Return to your hotel and spend the remains of the day at leisure. Overnight - Istanbul
