Today we will drive to Canakkale and visit legendary Troy, a 5000 years old archaeological city, then you will see a reconstruction of the fabled Wooden Horse, which used in Trojan War. Then drive to Assos for overnight
After breakfast drive to ancient city of Pergamon, one of Turkey's oldest civilized settlements and it has been inhabited from prehistoric times through the Ionic, Roman and Byzantine civilizations. It has yielded archeological treasures whose importance is recognized world-wide.After tour, we will drive to our hotel at Kuşadası.
After breakfast visit the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. Then we continue to marvelous village of Sirince where you be able to experience one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey. You may be able to do shopping and taste delicious wines of the village.
After breakfast drive to Pamukkale which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. It is for its resemblence to cotton piles that it is called 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish.Then visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath.
Early departure for the visit to Aphrodisias, the ancient city of some of the world s most beautiful architectural wonders, visit one of the largest ancient Theaters in the world, the Odeon, Bishop s Palace, Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite and the Museum with the gorgeous reliefs and statues of the sculptors of Aphrodisias. Then we drive to Fethiye for overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Phaselis including an ancient city with harbor way, marina, Roman theatre and Hadrianus Gate, and then Yanartas where Greek mythology tells that the Lycian hero Bellerophon mounted his winged horse Pegasus and slew the fire-breathing Chimaera. Gas which seeps from the earth burns brightly at night at this site, which the Byzantines also considered a religious area; Olympos located on the southern side of Mount Tahtali. Oleander and laurel bushes shade the Olympos Valley which can be approached by land or sea. The remnants of a gate, part of a bridge and a Roman theatre from the 2nd century A.D. can also be seen on the site. Continue to Antalya for overnight
After breakfast drive to Cappadocia . On the way, we will see a fine example of an ancient Silk Road caravanserai. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.
After breakfast we will visit Ihlara Valley. Descend into this incredible gorge, and then walk in the most scenic part of this canyon flanked by sheer rock walls we will descend even deeper into the earth through the passages and tunnels of Kaymakli Underground City. See the ingenious "millstone" defense doors, wineries and rooms carved from the living rock. Our last stop is Pigeon Valley where we see the ancient dovecotes from across the ravine.
After breakfast we will see Goreme Open Air Museum, which was once a Byzantine monastery. See the finest examples of religious frescoes in rock-cut churches from the 10th to the 13th centuries. Enjoy Pasabagi Valley, while walking through vineyards among strange multiple "mushroom-capped" volcanic rock formations. We then continue to Avanos, center of terra cotta work since 3000 BC. Transfer to the Kayseri Airport for flight to Istanbul then transfer to your hotel.
