Day 1: Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey. On arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free time to relax and explore.

Day 2: Istanbul

Today we begin with a full day guided tour. We includes St. Sophia the cathedral built by Emperor Justinian in 537, the Byzantine Hippodrome with its various monuments including a 3500-year-old red granite obelisk brought from Egypt and erected here in 390 AD. The Ottoman Empire produced marvellous feats of architecture and we continue our tours to see two of its finest works: Topkapi Palace(closed on Tuesday), home of the sultans, and the famed Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmet

Day 3: Istanbul

Today we tour the Spice Bazaar before boarding a Bosphorus Cruise. The journey which covers both European and Asian shores will let you see the marvellous monuments and districts like: Maiden Tower (Kiz Kulesi), Dolmabahce Palace, Ciragan Palace and Ortakoy,. This afternoon time permitting you'll venture into the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar before we return you to the hotel.

Day 4: Istanbul - Eceabat & Gallipoli

Today we depart by road to Gallipoli and on arrival check into our hotel on the Peninsular This afternoon we travel to Anzac Cover and take in the surroundings from Plugges Plateau before visiting the Burnu Cemetery where lies the grave of John Simpson Kirkpatrick, “The man with the donkey”.

Day 5: Eceabat & Gallipoli

This morning perhaps take an optional walk around town or depending on numbers take a drive to Cape Helles and Krithia. This afternoon we will transfer you back to Lone Pine for a Commemorative service. After the service you will have a chance to lay wreaths before we return to the hotel for a formal dinner.

Day 6: Eceabat & Gallipoli - Kusadasi

This morning we again travel to Anzac cove where we visit the Nek (10th Light horse Regiment WA). Graham Edwards the President of the RSL will lay a wreath at the memorial at the Nek. We will have a short stop at Lone Pine memorial before we continue on so that descendants of the 4 Victoria Cross winners of 1915 can pay their last respects. For those only visiting for the Gallipoli portion you will return to Istanbul where you will be transferred to the airport. For all else we continue to Troy before visiting Pergamum on the way to Kusadasi.

Day 7: Kusadasi - Fethiye

Today we explore the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey. After our tour we continue to Fethiye for the evening.

Day 8: Fethiye - Antalya

Today we drive to Antalya. En route visiting the amazing Saklıkent Canyon. We.arrive in Antalya in the late afternoon and the rest of the evening is at your own leisure. .

Day 9: Antalya

Today we visit the Antalya Museum which is one of Turkey's largest museums covering around 7000 square meters. We also visit the Manavgat waterfalls one of the most well know falls in Turkey. This evening is free time.

Day 10: Antalya - Konya

Today we visit Perge, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 B.C., the place with the impressive colonnaded street and where most of the statues that are on display in Antalya Museum were unearthed. After our tour we drive Aspendos that bears one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world. We continue and drive to Konya for the evening.

Day 11: Konya - Cappadocia

In the morning we will visit Konya and the Mausoleum of Mevlana also known as the Green Mausoleum or Green Dome, is the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. It contains the tomb and shrine of the Mevlana, or Rumi, which remains an important place of pilgrimage. 13th century Agzikarahan caravansary the land of Fairy Chimneys .Upon arrival to Cappadocia we check in to our hotel.

Day 12: Cappadocia

Perhaps opt for an early morning Balloon tour (paid locally) Today we will be touring within valleys to see the remnants of some older churches, rock formations and Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. We will also stop by Avcilar and pigeons valley to experience the moon-like topography of Cappadocia and continue to Open Air Museum in Goreme. We will proceed to the pottery town of Avanos where Kizilirmak (Hallys), the longest river of Turkey meanders, leaving the red clay on its banks that has been the raw material of pottery for centuries.

Day 13: Cappadocia - Ankara

We depart Cappadocia early this morning , en route stop by Ankara visiting the Anatolian Civilizations Museum at which numerous remnants from Stone Age, Neolithic Age, Hittites, Urartians, Phrygians and many others are on display. We also visit the Citadel of Ankara and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey .

Day 14: Ankara - Safranbolu

In the morning drive to Safranbolu, the world heritage town of Unesco which is considered as an open air museum. After arriving Safranbolu e our tour starts with Hidirlik Hill, a good place to take photos of the town. We continue to Cinci Hani, an old caravan inn, finally you will see Asmazlar Konagi, a beautiful old mansion.

Days 15-16: Safranbolu - Istanbul

Today we drive back to Istanbul and rest of the day is at leisure. Tomorrow is a free day to explore Istanbul

Day 17: Istanbul

Today our arrangements come to an end with a departure transfer to the airport.
