Welcome to Istanbul and the start of your journey through the 'Land of the Sultans'. You will be met upon arrival at the airport by one of our friendly representatives and transferred to your hotel.
Make your own way this morning to the airport for your domestic flight to Kayseri. Arriving here, our Cappadocia team will transfer you to your hotel. Today with our expert guide explore the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. After, we drive to Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles this is followed with a visit to the village of Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. In the afternoon visit Open Air Museum in Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years.
Our day begins with a leisurely hike through the Rose Valley stopping to visit the ancient churches. Afterwards, we head to the old Greek Christian village of Cavusin which is followed with a visit to Uchisar Castle to see the storage caves. In the afternoon, our highlights will be a visit to Pigeons Valley and Kaymakli Underground City. The day concludes with exploring the Ortahisar natural rock castle, before returning to your hotel.
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore independantly-- This evening you will travel independantly on the overnight public bus departing approx. 8pm to Izmir.
Arriving into Izmir approx. 8am our driver awaits to to take you to Selcuk. Today enjoy exploring the ancient and magnificent city of Ephesus, one of the largest and most well preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean, with Roman theatres, fountains, buildings, churches and temples. After, we visit the Virgin Mary’s cottage, then drive to your hotel.
Today we drive back to Izmir, but this time to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. Arriving here, our head office team awaits to transfer you to your hotel.
After breakfast enjoy a full day tour of the magnificent city of Istanbul. Explore Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Roman Hippodrome; once home to chariot races, gladiatorial battles and public executions, before trying your hand at a spot of haggling in the Spice Bazaar.
After breakfast we will drive to Eminönü to visit the aromatic Spice Bazaar, where the smells of cinnamon, cloves and thyme, rise from hundreds of colourful muslin bags at every store-front. Then we will enjoy a Bosphorus Cruise along the way take photographs of marble palaces, ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture besides modern residentials and luxurious apartments. In the afternoon cross over the Bosphorus Bridge to Asia and visit Beylerbeyi Palace, the largest and most elegant Ottoman Palace on the Asian Shore of the Bosphorus. After the tour you'll be transferred to your hotel.
Today head out and explore at your leisure, we would highly recommend a Turkish Hammam at the historic Cagaloglu Hamami.
Sadly your voyage of discovery draws to its conclusion today, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
