Upon arrival at the airport we transfer you your hotel. Today you will visit the amazing Eyup Sultan Mosque , Old City Walls of Istanbul.Then continue to Rumelihisarı with breathtaking views of the city. Last stop is a visit to Maiden’s Tower before transferred back to your hotel.
After breakfast in your hotel, there is a full day guided tour, the Byzantine Hippodrome with its various monuments including a 3500-year-old red granite obelisk brought from Egypt and erected here in 390 AD. The Ottoman Empire produced marvelouS architecture and you'll see one of its finest works: Topkapi Palace, home of the sultans. Also visit Hagia Irene, the famed Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmet I and will also and Little Hagia Sofia.
Today we will start our tour with visiting St. Sophia, the cathedral built by Emperor Justinian in 537. In the afternoon visit Dolmabahce Palace: This area was originally the bay where the navy anchored in the early periods when the Ottomans conquered Istanbul. We visit Camlica Hill which is one of the highest point of the Bosphorus and Istanbul. Camlica Hill has a wonderful panorama including the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus, Historical Peninsula and islands.
After breakfast you start the tour with visiting Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinapıole, then visit new mosque by Sirkeci , Mihrimar Sultan Mosque , Rustempasa Place and finally Underground Cistern before transferred pack to your hotel.
Early morning we will transfer you for the flight to Ankara. Ankara boasts thousands of years of rich history within its Citadel walls and features a plethora of striking architectural styles. Arriving here, we explore the key fascinating sites of the city including the Ataturk Mausoleum, Roman Baths date back to the 3rd century AD, Temple of Augustus and Rome, the Ankara Citadel. We then continue the drive to your hotel in Cappadocia.
Today we will be touring within valleys to see the remnants of some older churches, rock formations and Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. We will also stop by Avcilar and pigeons valley to experience the moon-like topography of Cappadocia and continue to Open Air Museum in Goreme to see the best examples of Byzantine art and Pasabagi Valley. Proceed to the pottery town of Avanos where Kizilirmak (Hallys), the longest river of Turkey, meanders leaving the red clay on its banks that has been the raw material of pottery for centuries.
Drive to Ihlara, on the way, visit to Guzelyurt ancient name was Gelveri which is packed with abandoned cave houses and churches with frescos dating back to 10 century. Walking in Ihlara Canyon, a "mirage" in the Steps of Anatolia up to Belisirma village, the ancient Peristrema: "Valley of the Sky" along the Melendiz River. Rock-cut churches, spread across a wild plantation, surprise you with their successfully painted representations from the Bible. Lunch in Belisirma, a local restaurant by the river. Stop by Selime, a village with cave houses at the end of the canyon and a "star wars" like landscape.
Morning collection from your hotel. We visit the 13th century Seljuk Caravanserai "Karatayhan". Then we will keep driving to Kahramanmaras. We will drive to Kahta and check-in to our hotel. Overnight in Kahta or Adiyaman. Today, we will drive about 8 hours in total.
We will depart from hotel very early in the morning up to Nemrut Degi ruins here we will watch the beautiful sunrise between the colossal size statues and heads of the kings and Gods and have a guided tour. We then explore the ruins of the Arsemia, Roman bridge of Cendere and Tumulus Tomb of Karakus. We then drive to Sanliurfa and Harran, along the way exploring Ataturk Dam. After check in, explore Gobeklitepe, Abraham's Cave and the Pools of Holy Carp, Harran; a village of Spellbinding Mud-Brick "beehive" houses.
This morning we explore Urfa Museum with its fine collection of artifacts from the entire region. The tour continues to Gaziantep before noon time and we will visit Gaziantep Mosaic Museum which is one of the richest mosaic museums in the world. We will transfer you to Gaziantep Airport for your flight to Izmir (Via Istanbul)
This morning we explore the Izmir Clock Tower (and other sights depending on your interest and time permitting) then drive to your hotel in Selcuk to explore Isa Bey Mosque and of Church Of Mary (and other sights depending on your interest and time permitting). Pick-up from your hotel for a full day tour of Ephesus and Virgin Mary’s House. First, to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then proceed to the Ancient City of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. Then visit to the House of Mother Mary where she is supposed to spend her last years together with St. John and explore the Basilica of St. John. After tour, we will drive back to our hotel in Selcuk.
Early departure for Pergamum, one of Turkey's oldest civilized settlements inhabited from prehistoric times through the Ionic, Roman and Byzantine civilizations. Visit the ancient city of acropolis founded on top of a steep hill as well as the Altar of Zeus and the Temple of Serapis. We will the drive you back to Selcuk.
After breakfast depart Selcuk and drive to Pamukkale which is the center of natural thermal spring waters with healing properties. Due to the chemical properties in the water, pure white colored travertines and stepped water terraces have been created on the mountain slope. Then visit the travertines and the ancient city of Hierapolis which has the biggest Nekropol with 1200 gravestones in Anatolia. The sacred pool also is one of the highlights of the site. There shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath.
Early morning we drive to Bodrum. Here, visit Bodrum Theater (built during Greek and Roman times) the renovation of the Antique Theatre will be completed and open to the public in 2008. Proceed to Mausoleum one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Then, visit the Castle of Saint Peter which is now the Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum and Laboratory. In the Bodrum Castle tour you may taste the local wine. The stunning panoramic view from top of the Caste of Saint Peter and also interpretation of traditional, whitewashed Bodrum house. Overnight - Atrium Hotel.
Today drive north discover the ruins of Priene at a dramatic mountainous setting, and with one of the most active Lonian ports in ancient times. See the Temple of Athena, the Stoa, Agora, Market Place, Temenos of Zeus Olympic, Bouleuterion, Prytaneion, the Hellenistic Theater, the Sanctuary of Demeter and more. Then proceed to Miletus, which provided the alphabet to the rest of the classical world. It was a great port and the hometown of several philosophers and sages. Then stop at Didyma, a sacred place of pagan worship, where you will see the Temple of Apollo from the 7th century BC. This was one of the sacred places of antiquity where well-known oracles were consulted. Drive to your hotel in Bodrum for overnight stay. Overnight - Atrium Hotel.
Morning flight to Istanbul. Arriving here, drive to Soliman The Magnificent Mosque (16th), belonging to glorious age of Ottoman empire, continue to Kariye (St. Saviore in Chora) museum(Closed on Wed), famous with it’s Byzantine mosaics. Short break to enjoy beauty of Golden horn from Pier Loti Hill .Crossing Unkapani bridge continue to Minia -Turk museum to discover the rich historical Heritage of Turkey.
Morning departure to Bursa (Combined Ferry & Drive). Arriving here, we visit Green Mosque and the tomb of Sultan Mehmet. Then continue to silk market or other highlights according to your interest. After having a lunch break, we will drive you back to Istanbul.
