Today you will enjoy a full day guided tour of Istanbul. You will visit the Blue Mosque, The Topkapı Palace, Aya Sophia, Roman Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar which includes over 4000 shops! The Blue Mosque is so named due to the blue tiles that line the walls.
Early morning flight to Adiyaman where you will be transferred to your hotel. Tour the Kahta town to visit the ruins of Arsemenia, Roman bridge of Cendere and tumulus Blackbird. This afternoon we arrive at Mt. Nemrut before sunset and ascend the mountain for 15 minutes to watch the magical sunset over the plateau, and visit the massive ancient rock statues.
We head south to Harran for a tour of this fascinating 400 year old town, including the mudbrick beehive houses. En-route to Harran, we also stop for a short time to visit the Ataturk Dam, Urfa city which hosts the world's oldest university and cone shaped mud huts.
En-route to Gaziantep, we have a chance to look around Birecik town, protected for famous Ibis Birds and breeding farm. Afternoon we visit Karkamis district of Gaziantep, used to be an important center of the east in the Antiquity. The town is located on the Syrian border and was a centre of arts and culture in the past, where the legend of Gilgamesh took place.
Tour of Gaziantep city including the Zeugma mosaic museum, Archeology museum, Bakircilar market and Antep castle.
Today we head to Antakya city in the most-south part of Turkey and visit Antioch ancient city on the eastern side of the Orontes River, a key location of the early years of Christianity.
We head west today and stop in Adana for half day tour, followed by tour of Tarsus. The birth place of St. Paul - the most important a postal in the spread of Christianity - Tarsus an old city inhabited as early as 5000 BC. After a visit to the Cave of Seven Sleepers and St. Paul's well, where the water is said to have healing powers and Cleopatra' s Gate.
Drive North to Cappadocia and visit vestiges of the merchant colony of Kanesh ancient city.
Whole troglodyte villages, subterranean churches and fortresses hewn from the soft, eroded volcanic rock have made Cappadocia one of Turkey’s finest attractions. Guided tour of the Goreme Valley, Zelve with its phallic-like eroded landscape of so-called ‘fairy chimneys’ and notable rock formations within the region.
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Istanbul and transfer you through to the International terminal for your departure flight.
