This morning early we will collect you for the journey to Konya. We will make a stop for lunch along the way as the journey will take around 8 hours.
Today with your guide in Konya visit the 13th century Mevlana Museum; the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. It contains the tomb of Mevlana, a leading philosopher and mystic of Islam, which remains an important place of pilgrimage. Tonight you have the option to watch a Whirling Dervishes performance.
This morning we drive to Cappadocia visiting along the way the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece of Sultanhan Caravanserai. Arriving into Cappadocia we will enjoy a stretch of the legs with a leisurely hike in the Red & Rose valleys for a taste of the spectacular scenery in the region.
Today you’ll spend the full day with our guide to explore the incredible lunar-like landscape and underground troglodyte villages of Cappadocia including some time spent at the Goreme Open Air Museum. The Museum is famed for its churches that were carved from the soft volcanic stone by Christian monks in 1000-1200AD.
