Welcome to Turkey. Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.
After breakfast enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul. We’ll visit Underground Cistern; built by Justinian in the 6th century and supported by 336 beautiful columns. Then we will continue to the ancient Roman Hippodrome, the former centre of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. After this we will see Hagia Sophia, the magnificent Byzantine Church of all time; the Blue Mosque, famous for its delicate blue ceramic tiles, and finally we will stop at Grand Covered Bazaar which is the most attractive shopping centre and the biggest souk in the world with nearly 4000 shops of antiques, jewellery, gold, carpets and leather-wear.
After breakfast we will drive to Eminönü to visit the aromatic Spice Bazaar where the smells of cinnamon, cloves and thyme rise from hundreds of colourful muslin bags at every store-front. Then we enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus through the waterway separating the two continents, Europe and Asia. After the cruise, you will be transferred to airport for a flight to Kayseri. Upon your arrival, our local representative will greet you and assist with the transfer to your hotel for overnight
After breakfast we will visit the Devrent Valley where various types of fairy chimneys are abundant. We then visit Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) with multiple stems and caps peculiar to this area. After visiting Pasabagi, we drive onto Avanos which is known for its pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak river. After lunch we continue to Goreme Open Air Museum to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries with carved fairy chimneys and frescos painted on the walls.
After breakfast you will be transferred to airport for your flight to Izmir. Upon your arrival you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi.
After breakfast we drive to the ancient city of Ephesus where we enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great T heater. The theatre had seating for 24,000 and the site where it is believed St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival. We continue to House of Virgin Mary - the Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.
After breakfast we drive to Pamukkale, a beautiful and spectacular natural site, unique in the world with its fairy-like and dazzling white cascades. There you will see the thermal spring water, laden with calcareous salt plunging down the mountain-side, has created this natural formation of stalactites, cataracts and basins. The thermal water has been used since the Roman period of the therapeutic powers. We also visit the Roman city of Hierapolis with Apollo-Temple competing with Delphi, Monumental Nympheum, a 4th century Basilica and the Theatre. After visiting the best preserved Necropolis, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Pamukkale.
After a leisurely breakfast, we will transfer you to Marmaris for some relaxing time on the beach at the Elegance Hotel.
Today you bid farewell to Turkey. We will transfer you to the airport in Dalaman for your flight home.
