Day 1: Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul, and the start of your journey through the 'Land of the Sultans' You will be met upon arrival at the airport by one of our friendly team and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after our long flight.

Day 2: Istanbul

After breakfast enjoy a full day tour of the magnificent city of Istanbul. Explore Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Roman Hippodrome; once home to chariot races, gladiatorial battles and public executions, before trying your hand at a spot of haggling in the Grand Bazaar.

Day 3: Istanbul - Bursa

This morning you will travel by ferry to the seaside town of Yalova, where there are thermal centers that you can enjoy. Our car then drives you to Bursa; the first capital of Ottoman Empire.

Day 4: Bursa

We visit the Ottoman complex to see the Grand Mosque and Green Mosque - considered to be one the finest examples of early Ottoman architecture. We will also see Green Tomb; which is the symbol of Bursa, and is one of the most beautiful samples of Ottoman tomb architecture. After, we will visit Koza Han, which was the center of the silk trade for centuries and still is a fantastic market. The day concludes with our visit Cumalikizik village. We then transfer back to your hotel in Bursa

Day 5: Bursa - Canakkale

Early this morning we depart for Gallipoli. On arrival we visit The World War I open air museum, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Johnston’s jolly (Turkish and Allied Trenches and tunnels), The Nek and Chunuk Bair. After your guided tour of the region we cross the Dardanelles by ferry and arrive in Canakkale where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6: Canakkale - Assos

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we continue our journey to Assos Berhamkale. After check into your hotel, we move on to visit legendary Troy, a 5000 year old archeological city.

Day 7: Assos - Cesme

This morning, departing early we visit Bergama and spend the day seeing all the nooks and crannies, This is the site of the ancient city of Pergamum which remained hidden from the modern world until 1871 when the German engineer Carl Humann rediscovered it when some locals showed him an interesting and strange mosaic that turned out to be the Altar of Zeus. After the tour we drive to Cesme for your night stay.

Day 8: Cesme

After breakfast drive to Alacati which is at the center of a corridor where the winds from the north to the south and in the reverse direction abound. The number of windy days in Alaçatı (330 days a year) is well above the average in Turkey. This abundance of these winds is the reason Alaçatı has the position of one of the foremost windsurfing centers of the world. After our visit we return to Cesme.

Day 9: Cesme - Kusadasi

This morning you will drive to the ancient and magnificent city of Ephesus, one of the largest and most well preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean. After this, We continue to the marvelous village of Sirince where you be able to experience one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey with it's gorgeous old home. You will able to do shopping and taste delicious wines and cheeses of the village. When ready we drive onward to your hotel in Kusadasi.

Day 10: Kusadasi

This morning first stop is Priene, the first grid-system planned city of the Ancient World, built on a hillside. Here, we visit the Theater, the Temple of Athena, the Bouleterium, the Agora, and the Altar of Zeus and Cybele. Right after Priene city, we will proceed to Miletus which is the home of Thales and a principle Ionian city. Here, we will visit the Delphinium, the Nymphanion, the Theater, and the Faustina Baths. OUr day concludes with a visit to Didyma famous for its Temple of Apollo, with gigantic columns. After, we will return back to your hotel in Kusadasi.

Day 11: Kusadasi - Pamukkale

Today we drive onward to Pamukkale. Arriving here visit the incredible white calcium terraces of Pamukkale and ancient Hierapolis, with its Necropolis graveyard of over 1200 graves. After, a visit to Aphrodisias, an ancient city home to some of the worlds most beautiful architectural wonders, visit one of the largest ancient Theaters in the world, the Odeon, Bishops Palace, Stadium, Temple of Aphrodite and the Museum with the gorgeous reliefs and statues of the sculptors of Aphrodisias. We return to your hotel Pamukkale.

Day 12: Pamukkale - Bodrum

After breakfast we will drive to Bodrum to visit the Castle of St. Peter, which is the symbol of Bodrum. Today on the walls of the castle you can see lots of stones from the Mausoleum, which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The castle also houses the largest Underwater Archeological Museum in Turkey which is one of its kind. After, relax at your hotel in the town.

Day 13: Bodrum

Open your eyes this morning to the glistening blue waters of the med, for today enjoy some time at your leisure to relax.

Day 14: Bodrum - Marmaris

Departing Bodrum we drive to Datca. The historian Strabo has a rightful saying about Datca's weather: "God would send his beloved servants to Datca to live longer". According to a myth while the Spanish pirates were passing by the coast of Datca, they disembarked people with Hansen's disease in Sariliman Bay and these abandoned people recovered from their disease with the help of the clean weather of Datca. After drive to Marmaris and check into your hotel.

Day 15: Marmaris

Enjoy the day to relax.

Day 16: Marmaris - Fethiye

After breakfast we will drive to Dalyan. We board our boat and sail along the river, passing the ancient harbour city of Caunos with its unique Sulphur mud bath and use thermal bath (pool). Then we arrive to Iztuzu Beach; one of the last breeding grounds of the loggerhead Caretta - Carettas turtles in the world. returning to dry land we will drive you to your hotel in Fethiye.

Day 17: Fethiye

After breakfast, we take you to visit Kayakoy; a settlement region of Greeks in the 14th century. It was founded on the lands of ancient city Karmillassos which had been demolished almost completely excluding a few home-type tombs due to earthquakes. We then return to town visit the famous markets this market is the largest in the region you will be amazed on what is for sale.

Day 18: Fethiye

After breakfast, we will drive to Tlos, home of the winged horse Pegasus. From the hilltop castle, the view of the surrounding countryside is outstanding. We will stop for a cool drink at the peaceful Yakapark trout farm before our main highlight of the day, Saklikent Canyon.

Day 19: Fethiye - Kas

Morning we head off to Kas, but not without a visit to the Church of St. Nicholas. This ruined Byzantine church contains the tomb of Nicholas, Bishop of Myra who lived in the 5th century AD. After that a boat trip around Kalkan bay, you will have the opportunity to sunbathe, swim, snorkel or just relax in the sun while visiting Snake and Mouse Islands.

Day 20: Kas

Morning we head off to Myra, capital of Lycia. You will visit the rock cut tombs, temple facades and acropolis. Then, take a boat to the picturesque Kekova Islands and the 'Sunken City' - where the underwater ruins, columns and sarcophagi of an ancient shore side city lie clearly strewn in the sea bed shallows. The day concludes with a visit to the village of Simena. From its hilltop, enjoy outstanding views from Simena Castle, built by the Knights of St. John, over hill scattered Lycian tombs and turquoise sea.

Day 21: Kas - Olympos

Today we drive to Olympos where you will get to see what is considered Turkey's most beautiful beach surrounded by gorgeous Pine forests and mountains. Relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 22: Olympos - Antalya

Today we drive to Antalya. We will stop at Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower at Kalekapısı, Republic Square with its dramatic statue and excellent views of the Mediterranean coast. Then, descending from the square, you explore the narrow, winding streets of historic Old Antalya (Kaleiçi), filled with graceful Ottoman-era houses and gardens.

Day 23: Antalya

After breakfast your guide will take you on a drive to Perge. Here, enjoy a walk through the Roman Gate and down the Colonnaded Avenue past the Agora, Baths, Hippodrome and Aqueduct terminating at the Nymphaeum or great fountain. Then we continue on to the ancient city of Aspendos. Here you will visit the famous 2nd century Roman Amphitheatre still in use for cultural events today. Or day concludes with our visit to the Archaeological Museum in Antalya, exhibiting marble sculptures and many other artefacts of the region.

Day 24: Antalya - Konya

Morning drive to Konya and here visit the 13th century Mevlana Museum; the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. It contains the tomb of Mevlana, a leading philosopher and mystic of Islam, which remains an important place of pilgrimage.

Day 25: Konya - Cappadocia

A long drive today through gorgeous countryside to Cappadocia. En-route a visit to Catalhoyuk. Catalhoyuk is the site of a Neolithic town. It is the oldest town excavated, dating from around 6000 BC. Arriving in Cappadocia in the evening, check in and relax.

Day 26: Cappadocia

Enjoy an eye opening full day excursion in Cappadocia. Including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and Avanos; the town in which people have been making Hittites’ art, potteries, for about 4000 years.

Day 27: Cappadocia

Today’s insightful full day will bea walk in the Ihlara valley itself visiting the cave churches it is famed for. Our day concludes with a visit to the local village of Belisirma here the stunning scenery, buildings and more will provide a richly textured panorama of Anatolian history.

Day 28: Cappadocia - Ankara

Today we drive to Ankara, en route we pay a visit to Hattusas. This was the capital of the Hittite Kingdom for a long time. Before visiting the main capital proceed to Yazılıkaya to see the open air sanctuary as the sun light comes on the bas-reliefs direct in the morning. In the afternoon visit to the capital of Hattusas with Lion’s Gate, Tunnel, King’s Gate, Citadel and Grand Temple. Arrive into Ankara in the evening.

Day 29: Ankara - Istanbul

This morning your guide will take you to visit the Anatolian Civilizations Museum located around Ankara Castle. Continue with a visit to the 6000 yr old Citadel that overlooks the city and is the acknowledged symbol of Ankara. Then, off to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Enjoy your last evening.

Day 30: Istanbul

Sadly your journey through the 'Land of the sultans' comes to an end, we will transfer you to Istanbul airport in time for your flight home.
