After breakfast, we depart for the World Heritage Listed town of Safranbolu. The town boasts many graceful Ottoman homes, once the residences of royalty and artisan work shops crafting traditional Turkish wares. Tonight we stay in an Ottoman mansion home - Asmazlar Konagi for the night.
Today we depart for Ankara where we will visit Mausoleum of Ataturk and its Museum. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey. We then depart for Cappadocia . After a picturesque trip along the Salt Lake , we will arrive in Cappadocia for an overnight stay.
Today enjoy a full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and natural fortress in Uchisar. Here, we will have the opportunity to discoverand understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets ,Turkish tiles ,onyx and potteries. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.
Today you will be transfered from Cappadocia to Kahta, via Karatay Caravanserai, constructed in 1255 by Seljuks, a great example of Seljuk styles. We also visit Kahraman Maras, famous for its ice cream!
A very early start as we arrive at Mt Nemrut before dawn for the ascent from which we watch the amazing sunrise. Then its time to explore the statues. Back to Sanli Urfa, a city of mosques - be sure to see the Firfirli Mosque, at one time the church of the Apostles.
Today we head to Birecik, famous for its Bald Ibis birds then journey on back to Cappadocia for the evening.
After breakfast depart for Konya. On the way, visit the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai . We visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana also known as the Green Mausoleum or Green Dome, is the original lodge of the Mevlevi Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group. Tonight enjoy Whirling Dervishes performance.
Morning drive to Antalya, pay a visit to the ancient city of drive to Perge, originally settled by the Hittites around 1500 B.C., the place with the impressive colonnaded street and where most of the statues that are on display in Antalya Museum were unearthed. We also visit Aspendos that bears one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world.
After breakfast depart for Pamukkale. Rest of the day is at leisure. You may want to try the beautiful thermal baths of your hotel.
After breakfast, visit the ancient Hierapolis with the magnificent Necropolis, graveyard and the lime cascade. Thereafter, we continue our drive to Selcuk to visit Temple of Artemis ‘‘one of the seven wonders of the ancient world ‘’ then continue to Kusadasi for overnight stay.
Morning drive to Ancient city of Ephesus where we will visit its magnificent library,theatre and temples. Then, we continue to Virgin Mary’s House. In the afternoon,experience and participate in an upbeat fashion show showcasing the unique leatherproducts manufactured in Turkey. Overnight stay in Kusadasi.
Today you will be transferred to the Izmir airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon your arrival in Istanbul you will be transferred to your hotel with the remainder of the day free.
