Day 1: Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! We will be there to meet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Istanbul - Canakkale
Today we set off early and drive to Gallipoli and visit The World War I open air museum, Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Johnston’s jolly (Turkish and Allied Trenches and tunnels), The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Anzac Cove , Nek , Lone Pine and 57.th regiment memorial and the war museum, cross the Dardanelles.
Day 3: Canakkale - Selcuk
Today we drive to Selcuk via Pergamum with the remainder of the day free at your leisure.
Day 4: Selcuk
This morning drive to the ancient city of Ephesus where you will explore some of the best preserved theatres, fountains and buildings in the world. A definite must while in Turkey!
Day 5: Selcuk - Oludeniz
Today we drive to Oludeniz with the remainder of the day free at your leisure.
Day 6: Oludeniz
Today you have the opportunity to enjoy a shared charted gullet '12 Island boat cruise' (we generally use the Kardesler boat company, however please be advised this may change).
Day 7: Oludeniz - Cappadocia
Today we drive to Cappadocia with the remainder of the day free at your leisure.
Day 8: Cappadocia
After breakfast you will be having a full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia in rock-cut churches with frescoes and paintings and natural fortress in Uchisar.
Day 9: Cappadocia
Today we take a walk in Ihlara Canyon, a "mirage" in the Steps of Anatolia up to Belisirma village, the ancient Peristrema: "Valley of the Sky" along the Melendiz River. Stop by Selime, a village with cave houses at the end of the canyon as "moon" like landscape will welcome you. Later this afternoon we return to your hotel.
Day 10: Cappadocia - Istanbul
This morning we depart for Ankara, we will visit Mausoleum of Ataturk and its Museum. The exhibits are displayed chronologically beginning witha collection of stone utensils for daily usedating from the Paleolithic period and semi-precious jewels from the 6th millennium. Continue to Istanbul and arrive in the evening.
Day 11: Istanbul
Today after breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
