Welcome to Istanbul and the start of your journey through the Land of the Sultans! You will be met upon arrival at the airport by one of our friendly team and transferred to your hotel.
Today and tomorrow are at your leisure to explore the city. We do have a couple of interesting options you can pre book with us. Have a read of the Enhance Your Holiday page for info.
After breakfast you'll be transferred to airport for a flight to Kayseri. Arriving here your guide and driver will take you straight out to explore the Dervent Valley and Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) where various forms of fairy chimneys rock formations are abundant. We continue to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. After lunch, we explore the Goreme Open Air Museum to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with wonderful frescos painted on the walls.
This morning you head out for a leisurely hike in the Rose Valley, considered one of the most beautiful trekking valleys in Cappadocia with its rock cut churches and lovely scenery. After lunch and a rest we are off to Ortahısar Castle, to see the ancient storage caves. In the afternoon we explore Kaymakli Underground City where early christians lived in fear. On the way back we visit the panoramic Pıgeon Valley where pigeons contributed to the lives of locals with their manure to fertilize the vineyards. We then go straight to the airport for your flight to Izmir. Arriving here, a transfer to the smaller town of Selcuk awaits.
This morning you will drive to the ancient and magnificent city of Ephesus, one of the largest and most well preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean, with Roman theatres, fountains, buildings, churches and temples. Ephesus was originally built on the north slope of Mount Pion in 1000 BC but was later relocated to its current location in 4th century BC. After we explore the House of Virgin Mary, which the Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary.
After breakfast you'll be transferred to airport in Izmir for a flight back to Istanbul. Upon your arrival you'll be met once again by our head office team and driven to your hotel
The next days are at your leisure to explore the nooks and crannies of this incredible city where east meet west.
Today at an agreed time we will transfer you to your Ataturk Airport hotel for check in.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
