Day 1: Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul and the start of your journey through the Land of the Sultans! You will be met upon arrival at the airport by one of our friendly representatives and transferred to your hotel.

Days 2-3: Istanbul

Enjoy the next two days at leisure independently to become acquainted with this fantastic east meets west city. You can opt to go for a Sauna (Hammam) or a Bosphorus Cruise, have a read of the Enhance Your Holiday page for info.

Day 4: Istanbul - Canakkale

After breakfast we will drive to Gallipoli . You will meet your local guide and start fully guided Gallipoli tour visiting Brighton Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, ANZAC Commemoration Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly (Turkish & Allied trenches & tunnels), the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Overnight in Canakkale.

Day 5: Canakkale - Bergama

After breakfast you will meet with your local guide and visit the famous archaeological and mythological site of Troy, home of the "Trojan Horse" and "Helen of Troy". You'll also see the Sacrificial Altars and the 3700 year old city walls amongst other fascinating ruins and sites. After that you'll drive to Pergamum Acropolis, one of the principle centres of Hellenistic civilization located 16 miles from the Aegean Sea. You will see the excellent public buildings and monuments including the celebrated Library, the theatre of Anatolia, the Temples of Trojan and Dionysos, the place of the monumental Altar of Zeus and more. Overnight in Pergamum at the Les Pergamon Hotel.

Day 6: Bergama - Selcuk

After breakfast you will be transferred onto Selcuk with the remainder of the day free.

Day 7: Selcuk

After breakfast you'll meet with your local guide and visit the Ephesus Ancient City. Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theatre. Then continue to House of Virgin Mary. The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. Finally you'll visit the Çamlık outdoor museum. It has one of the largest steam engines collection in Europe.

Day 8: Selcuk - Pamukkale

After breakfast we'll drive to Pamukkale for overnight. The day is at leisure.

Day 9: Pamukkale

After breakfast visit the incredible white calcium terraces of Pamukkale and ancient Hierapolis, with its Necropolis graveyard of over 1200 graves. The Temple of Apollo, the Plutonium, dating back to third century BC and the sacred pool are some of the highlights of Hierapolis. The shallow thermal waters ripple over a wonderful scattering of ancient roman ruins that lie beneath.

Day 10: Pamukkale - Isparta

After breakfast you'll drive to Isparta. The day is at leisure. Overnight Isparta at the Barida Hotel.

Day 11: Isparta - Konya

After breakfast you'll drive to Konya via Egirdir Lake. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 12: Konya - Cappadocia

After breakfast you'll drive to Cappadocia. The day is at leisure. Overnight in Cappadocia at the Aydinli Cave Hotel.

Day 13: Cappadocia

Heading out we visit the Devrent Valley where various types of fairy chimneys are abundant. We then visit Pasabagi (Monk's Valley) with multiple stems and caps, peculiar to this area. After visiting Pasabagi, drive to Avanos which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. This afternoon proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum to visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Thereafter time to take photos in the neighboring valleys before going back to the hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia at the Aydinli Cave Hotel.

Day 14: Cappadocia - Istanbul

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to airport in Kayseri for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon your arrival you will make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 15: Istanbul

Sadly your journey through the Land of the Sultans has come to an end, we will drive you back to Istanbul Airport in time for your flight homeward bound.
