Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi! Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our local team. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the city, this evening why not opt to pre book a traditional Vietnamese water puppet performance? Have a read of the Enhance Your Holiday page for info.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Early this morning journey north to Halong Bay (approx 4 hours drive), stopping for refreshments en route. UNESCO Listed Halong Bay is undoubtedly one of Vietnam's most spectacular regions. Thousands of karst limestone and jungle covered peaks and isles, rise dramatically out of the emerald waters of the bay. Spend the day cruising around the islands aboard a traditional Junk boat. Stopping to explore caves and coves and to swim in the emerald waters. You can also take a rowboat to visit the floating fishing village of Vung Vieng - where you'll gain a fascinating insight into the daily life of the local people.

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hoi An

Enjoy fresh air and the gentle breeze of the bay this morning as you relax aboard the Junk. There will be more opportunities to swim and explore hidden caves before returning to port. Transfer back to Hanoi airport for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang, you are met and transferred to your hotel located in Hoi An nearby.

Days 4-5: Hoi An

Today and tomorrow enjoy free time to enjoy the beach or you can opt to pre book either or both of the two historic options we offer here in Hoi An for one day. Day 6: Hoi An - Can Tho

Early morning flight to Saigon. Drive to the Mekong Delta. Often referred to as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the fertile Mekong Delta is famous for its abundant harvests of tropical fruits, flowers and rice, as well as it fantastic views while boating along the canals. Taking our sampan from Vinh Long we’ll cruise Cai Be’s colourful and lively floating markets and continue downstream through the maze of waterways visiting local cottage industries that produce popcorn, coco candies and paper along the way. Lunch is served today in a traditional wooden home on Dong Hoa Hiep Island.

Day 7: Can Tho - Saigon

Early today we visit Cai Rang floating market and drive to Saigon. Once called the Pearl of the Orient, modern Saigon is a thriving metropolis on the move. Sleek sky scrapers, gourmet restaurants, designer malls and swanky bars and spas are scattered between ancient pagodas, colonial era landmarks and lively street markets. Our walking tour of Saigon includes visits to the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post office and the sombering War Remnants Museum. Evening at leisure.

Day 8: Saigon
