Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi - the ‘Paris of the Orient’. Upon arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remains of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi

This morning enjoy a half day city tour of Hanoi’s essential sites. Sightseeing includes the Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country, containing an extensive display of life-size structures dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority peoples. Also visit Ngoc Son Temple on Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of the city - the temple has a fascinating history dating back to the 13th century. Then enjoy a one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, chaotic streets of the Old Quarter

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay

This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sun deck before an impressive seafood dinner is served.

Day 4: Halong Bay

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sun deck or a traditional massage. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. We then have a drive to Ninh Binh where we visit the Tam Coc (the three grottoes), nearby Bich Dong Temple, Hoa Lu (the old capital), and Phat Diem Cathedral. (OVERNIGHT IN NINH BINH)

Day 5: - Hoi An

This morning we transfer you to the station to embark the train to Danang. The train leaves at 08:32, sit back and enjoy the scenic journey and mingling with the locals on board. Arriving into Danang at 22:00, meet our driver who will take you to your hotel in Hoi An.

Days 6-7: Hoi An

Today and tomorrow are at your leisure to relax or explore Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An - Saigon

After a leisurely breakfast and hotel check out, we will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight to Saigon. Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel with the rest of the afternoon free to relax.

Day 9: Saigon

The morning begins with a drive through the beautiful Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, famous for its floating markets. After touring the markets, board a private boat and cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long. Here, enjoy a sumptuous Delta lunch including the popular 'Elephant ear fish' at the home of a Bonsai gardener, before continuing to explore the tributaries and canals of the Delta before returning to Saigon in the evening.

Day 10: Saigon

In the morning travel north west of the city to visit the historic Cu Chi Tunnels which were a key battleground in the Vietnam War. The vast expanse of underground tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas, as a communication and supply route into Saigon, they also served as living quarters for the fighters. Upon arrival watch a short introductory video on the construction of the tunnels before spending an hour exploring the maze of tunnels, accompanied by a guide. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City early afternoon, enjoy a traditional lunch before embarking on a city tour, with highlights including the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office and Dong Khoi Street, the Opera House and the Peoples’ Committee Building.

Day 11: Saigon

Today your bid farewell to Vietnam. We will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
