Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi! Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remains of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay

This morning transfer from your hotel in Hanoi to Halong City, the drive takes about 4 hours, stopping off for a refreshment break en route. Upon arrival meet the crew of your traditional Junk boat at the dock and embark upon a scenic cruise to the famous limestone peaked islands of Halong Bay and on to Bai Tu Long Bay which is every bit as beautiful as Halong. Aside from the cave visit and swimming, there is also a chance to explore this stunning area by sea kayak. Returning back to the Junk for a scrumptious dinner.

Day 3: Halong Bay

Enjoy the Lan Ha Bay excursion. Cycling on Cat Ba Island if weather permits or guided kayaking and swimming at Three Peach Beach, a pristine natural beach lapped by turquoise waters. Continue on to discover Ho Ba Ham Islet, the most remote point in Lan Ha Bay and bordering the Gulf of Tonkin. Visit its quaint fishing village and lagoon. Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel under a karst mountain (time and tides permitting).

Day 4: Halong Bay - Saigon

Enjoy fresh air and the gentle breeze of the bay this morning as you relax onboard the Junk. Pass through the scenic spots of Trong, Trinh Nu, Me Cung Caves and Coc Ngoi, before disembarking at Halong Bay dock around noon. Transfer back to Hanoi airport for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Saigon, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5: Saigon

In the morning travel north west of the city to visit the historic Cu Chi Tunnels which were a key battleground in the Vietnam War. Upon arrival watch a short introductory video on the construction of the tunnels before spending an hour exploring the maze of tunnels, accompanied by a guide. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs from B52 bombers. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City early afternoon and time for lunch before embarking on a city tour. Major attractions include the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum.

Day 6: Saigon

Explore the beautiful Mekong Delta today! Early this morning drive to Cai Be and board a traditional Sampan boat. First stop on your scenic Mekong Delta cruise, is the colourful floating market of Cai Be, where traders in barges full of fruits and vegetables sell there goods. Also stop at some local home factories to observe how rice paste, coconut candies and other regional specialties are made. Continue crusing along the scenic Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island, where you will discover the rural lifestyle and daily activities of the delta inhabitants. After time for lunch, enjoy a short walk along a narrow canal, your excursion ends mid-afternoon. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 7: Saigon

Free time until we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight (flight leaves at 14:00).
