Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome back o Vietnam! We will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the evening with the remainder of the day free to relax after your long flight.

Day 2: Hanoi

This morning is free for you to relax. This afternoon enjoy a guided city tour of Hanoi including the Museum of Ethnology and the Temple of Literature. This evening watch a traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets.

Day 3: Hanoi

We depart at 8.30am from your hotel. Our first stop is Hoa Lu, the place of former capital of Vietnam around 10th century. Here we see the ruins of the former capitol before the legendary Ly Thai To moved the Imperial city to Hanoi. In the late morning, we depart for Tam Coc town for a delicious Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, we take a traditional sampan through beautiful rice paddy scenery and the three famous grottoes: Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi. In the late afternoon, we drive back to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Drive to Halong City (approx 4 hours), stopping for refreshments en route. At UNESCO Listed Halong Bay limestone peaks and forest clad islets, hidden coves and beautiful beaches await discovery! Board your Junk boat and cruise to the famous islands of Halong Bay and onto Bai Tu Long Bay, stopping to visit a cave and swim in the warm waters. There is a chance to explore more this stunning area by sea kayak. Return to the Junk boat for a tasty dinner and a memorable night in beautiful surrounds.

Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Wake up to see a spectacular sunrise over the bay! This morning cruise through Bai Tu Long and visit the floating fishing village of Vung Vieng - where you'll gain a fascinating insight into local life. Cruising back to the dock arrive into Halong City around noon then transfer back to Hanoi.

Day 6: Hanoi

Day 7: Hanoi - Hoi An

Today we will transfer you to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hoi An. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your resort for the evening.

Day 8: Hoi An

Day 9: Hoi An - Hue

Pick up from your hotel in Hoi An. Transfer to Hue via Hai Van Pass. We will visit the ancient Imperial Citadel. Continue with boat trip on Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda , which is located on the southwest bank of the river, is a memorial to these demonstrations. Here we find the car that took the senior Buddhist monk, Quang Duc, to Saigon, where he immolated himself. The car, a British Austin, is memorialized as a holy sight.

Day 10: Hue - Saigon

Today we visit Tombs of King Tu Duc and King Khai Dinh. Tu Duc had the longest reign of any Nguyen monarch from 1848 to 1883 and his tomb is the best preserved of all of the Nguyen monarchs' tombs. After that we transfer to the airport for a flight to Saigon. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your resort for the evening.

Day 11: Saigon

Day 12: Saigon

Take a morning excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, north west of the city. This immense network of connecting underground tunnels, were used by the Viet Cong and one of the famous battle grounds in the Vietnam War. Watch a short introductory video on the construction of the tunnels before exploring the maze of tunnels, accompanied by the guide. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500-pound bombs from B52 bombers. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City at around 2pm, stop for lunch before visiting some of the city's major attractions including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum

Day 13: Saigon

Today enjoy a full day cruise excursion on the beautiful Mekong Delta. Early morning transfer to Cai Be - Phu An where you board the Cai Be Princess at around 10:00am. First stop is the colourful floating market at Cai Be. Then visit some local home factories to discover traditional rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying processing. The cruise continues along the Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island where you can observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. Lunch awaits you at Le Longanier restaurant at La Residence de Phu An Resort, a superb Indochine style resort before disembarking mid-afternoon and returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 14: Saigon

Today for those of you interested at 08:00am pick up at your hotel and depart for Vung Tau. Stop over Ba ria to pick up your travel permit to the sites. Visit the Long Tan Cross, Horse Shoe then to Long Phuoc Tunnels en-route. After lunch, visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill). Return to Hochiminh city. Finish your trip at the hotel around 17:30pm approximately.

Day 15: Saigon

Sadly your last day with us with your departure airport transfer.
