Welcome to sizzling Saigon. Arriving at the airport our local team awaits to transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the city. We would recommend to head out and explore on foot, shop at Ben Thanh Market or visit the grand Independence Palace, with its secret bunker and military command centre beneath! Evening at leisure.
Today we visit the tunnels used by the Viet-Cong in their struggle to keep control of the region during the 1960’s. As we walk the bush trails you’ll see trapdoors, booby traps, living areas, weapon factories and the highlight a firing range, where you can have a go. We return to Saigon at around 2pm, stop for lunch before visiting some of the city's major attractions including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum.
This morning we transfer to Vinh Long where we will begin our cruise of the Mekong Delta. Boarding our boat, we cruise amongst the local sampans selling their fruit and vegetables at the Cai Be floating market, with buyers and sellers travelling from provinces all over the delta. The cruise continues along the river, past beautiful landscapes with scenes of typical Mekong Delta rural life. A stop is made at Dong Hoa Hiep island for lunch. As the boat resumes its course, we pass the beautiful church of Cai Be before stopping at some home factories where you can sample local sweets and see how they are made.
Rise early for a morning boat trip to the extraordinary floating market at Cai Rang. Observe boats jostling for position as the locals engage in frenetic trading and be sure to have your camera ready for some great photo opportunities. We then head back to Saigon for a free afternoon.

Taking to the sky this morning you fly to Danang. Arriving here our local driver will transfer you to Hoi An. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Assembly Hall, 200-year-old Tam Ky house and the Japanese Covered Bridge. This morning we drive to Imperial city of Hue enjoying the scenery en-route. Your tour begins with a cruise on the Perfume River that makes stop to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. After you will see the ancient walled Citadel containing the former Imperial Palace. Spend the morning wandering through the enclosure before lunch and a trip into the surrounding countryside to see the final resting place of the Emperors at two of the most impressive Royal Tombs.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the mausoleums of the Emperors Tu Duc (1829-1883) and Khai Dinh (1885-1925). On the way to down to Danang, stop in for a refreshment break at Lang Co beach. Later you fly from Danang to Hanoi. Arriving here meet your local driver whom will assist you to your hotel.
This morning enjoy a visit to the Temple of Literature, followed with a visit to the Presidential Palace (formerly Palace of the Governor-General of French Indochina) Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilt and nearby One Pillar Pagoda. In the afternoon we visit Vietnam History museums, We then enjoy leisurely walk to nearby Hanoi Opera House an through the Old Quarter. Our day concludes with atttending a thousand year old Water puppet Show.
This morning early we head out to see a slice of rural Vietnam to Mai Chau. Enjoy the stunning scenery of Palm trees, green mountain range, paddy fields, and beautiful houses-on-stilts. In the afternoon, we stroll around the village and learn more about local lifestyle and as well their culture.
Wake up early and experience the village coming to life. On the way back to Hanoi, we will stop at the ''Culture space of Muong” This a wonderful private museum where you will learn all about the Muong people. Arriving back in Hanoi in the evening enjoy some down time.
Early this morning journey north to Halong Bay (approx 4 hours drive), stopping for refreshments en route. UNESCO Listed Halong Bay is undoubtedly one of Vietnam's most spectacular regions. Thousands of karst limestone and jungle covered peaks and isles, rise dramatically out of the emerald waters of the bay. Spend the day cruising around the islands onboard a traditional Junk boat. Stopping to explore caves and coves and to swim in the emerald waters. You can also take a row boat to visit the floating fishing village of Vung Vieng - where you'll gain a fascinating insight into the daily life of the local people. Enjoy a scrumptious buffet lunch and set dinner whilst on board.
Enjoy fresh air and the gentle breeze of the bay this morning as you relax on board the Junk. There will be more opportunities to swim and explore hidden caves before returning to port. Transfer back to Hanoi in the evening.
