Day 1: Saigon

Welcome to sizzling Saigon. Arriving at the airport our friendly local team are on hand to transfer you to your hotel. Spend the afternoon getting acquainted with the city. Opt to explore on foot, shop at Ben Thanh Market or visit the grand Independence Palace, with its secret bunker and military command centre beneath! Evening at leisure.

Day 2: Saigon

In the morning we drive to the extraordinary network of Cu Chi Tunnels where the Viet Cong managed to survive underground during the Vietnam War. Here you can learn first-hand how they survived with a short tour of one of the tunnels, and various exhibits explaining the life of tunnel dwellers, including the display of various weapons and traps. In the afternoon we will stop in at the famous War Remnants Museum, a popular destination for history buffs; explore the deserted great halls of the Reunification Palace; visit the Old Saigon Post Office; and marvel at the city’s most famous landmark, the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Day 3: Saigon - Can Tho

This morning we set off to the Mekong Delta. Often referred to as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the fertile Mekong Delta is famous for its abundant harvests of tropical fruits, flowers and rice, as well as it fantastic views while boating along the canals. Taking our sampan from Vinh Long we'll cruise Cai Be’s colourful and lively floating markets and continue downstream through the maze of waterways visiting local cottage industries that produce popcorn, coco candies and paper along the way. Lunch is served today in a traditional wooden home on Dong Hoa Hiep Island.

Day 4: Can Tho - Nha Trang

Early today we visit Cai Rang floating market and drive to Saigon Airport in time for your flight destined for Nha Trang. Arriving here, our local team await to transfer you to your hotel.

Day 5: Nha Trang

Today is a day of leisure and indulgence as we cruise through blue clear waters of the islands off the coast of Nha Trang. Visit the Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island then onto Mun Island where you will get the chance to swim or even do some snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. Then a stop is made for lunch at the fishing village of Lang Chai where you will have the opportunity to explore further before boarding the boat back to Nha Trang harbor.

Day 6: Nha Trang

Spend today at leisure in Nha Trang. The resort is ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling or simply relaxing on the sandy beach. Sample some of the delicious seafood in some of the many restaurants and perhaps enjoy a spot of retail therapy at Cho Dam Market.

Day 7: Nha Trang - Hoi An

Taking to the sky once again we fly north to Danang. Here, you are met and driven to the charming, old-world trading port of Hoi An. This afternoon a walking tour of the enchanting historical town, we’ll visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Hall, 200-year-old Tam Ky house, former merchants’ homes and the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge.

Day 8: Hoi An

A bicycle ride into the countryside, leads us to Tra Que village. Here,we discover age old farming practises and learn about traditional medicine. It’s a hands on experience today where we'll assist with tending the fields and gardens and learn how cook a traditional Vietnamese lunch.

Day 9: Hoi An

Day 10: Hoi An - Hanoi

Heading back to Danang Airport this morning you will fly to Hanoi. Arriving here, our local team await to drive you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of VN, as well as relics, tools and even full size replicas of their homes and buildings. We then take a Cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake before attending a famous Water Puppet show.

Day 11: Hanoi - Halong Bay

This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served.

Day 12: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or a traditional massage. After exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs, we sail back to port. Arriving to Hanoi mid afternoon, enjoy the afternoon to relax or explore at your leisure.

Day 13: Hanoi

This morning we start our day the traditional Vietnamese way, with a bowl of steaming Pho at one of Hanoi's most popular eateries. After enjoying the national dish it is time move on to Hoan Kiem Lake for a morning stroll. After, we are off to the market to learn all about shopping at the markets we then head to your family home chef host who will be showing you how to cook traditional recipes which concludes with a delicious lunch.

Day 14: Hanoi

This morning visit Ba Dinh Square where silent sentries guard the marble and granite mausoleum where Ho Chi Minh lies in state. After visit Ho Chi Minh humble house of stilts and the famous One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. The afternoon is then at your leisure to explore.

Day 15: Hanoi

Sadly your exploration of Vietnam comes to its conclusion today, we will be sure to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
