Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi, perhaps the most graceful, atmospheric and exotic capital city in Asia. This is the start of your incredible Oriental Adventure, we start in style as our driver greets you at the airport and whisks you off to your hotel to relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Hanoi

Enjoy a relaxing morning, in the afternoon, enjoy a guided city tour of Hanoi. Having celebrated its 1000 year anniversary in 2010, the city has a rich and fascinating history. Sightseeing includes Ba Dinh Square where silent sentries guard the marble and granite mausoleum where Ho Chi Minh lies in state. After visit Ho Chi Minh humble house of stilts and the famous One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. We conclude with a thrilling cyclo tour of the famous Old Quarter of the city.

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay

This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding our traditional wooden junk boat we cruise the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay. Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng. Tonight, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served.

Day 4: Halong Bay - Hue

Enjoy fresh air and the gentle breeze of the bay this morning as you relax onboard the Junk. There will be more opportunities to swim and explore hidden caves before returning to port. Transfer back to Hanoi to board the overnight sleeper train in Hue.

Day 5: Hue

You will be met at the train station and transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast, then onto your hotel for check in. This afternoon a boat trip on Perfume River (Huong River) to Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang tomb. Thien Mu Pagoda is an octagonal tower of seven tiers that rises majestically over the Perfume River. Minh Mang tomb is perhaps the most majestic of all Hue’s tombs. This tomb is well known for its harmonious blend of architecture and natural landscape.

Day 6: Hue

This morning you'll tour the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City, built by the Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. The afternoon is then free for you to explore at leisure.

Day 7: Hue - Hoi An

This morning visits are offered to Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh’s tombs before journey by road to Hoi An via spectacular Cloudy Pass. A stop is made in Danang to visit the Cham Museum, once centre of the ancient Cham civilization. UNESCO Listed Hoi An is a former merchant trading post, famed for its beautifully preserved Chinese, Japanese and European architecture. Picturesque Hoi An has managed to retain its traditional character and charm, with its cobbled streets, markets and row upon row of tailors shops. Day 8: Hoi An

This morning enjoy a walking tour around the cobbled streets of this ancient town, which was once of the busiest trading ports in Asia. The afternoon is at your leisure to relax and explore. (OVERNIGHT Thanh Binh Riverside hotel - Deluxe River family room)

Day 9: Hoi An - Saigon

This morning enjoy an Eco Tour boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fisherman. You are sure to enjoy the hands on experience of river net fishing with the locals. There is also the opportunity to paddle a unique bamboo basket boat, known as a coracle, as you explore the area’s coconut palmed waterways. Later fly to Saigon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 10: Saigon

Explore the beautiful Mekong Delta today! Early this morning drive to Cai Be and board a traditional Sampan boat at around 10:00am. First stop on your scenic Mekong Delta cruise, is the colourful floating market of Cai Be, where traders in barges full of fruits and vegetables sell there goods. Continue cruising along the scenic Mekong canals to Dong Hoa Hiep Island located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. After lunch on the island we witness the rural lifestyle and daily activities of the delta inhabitants. We return to Saigon in the evening.

Day 11: Saigon

Nowhere else is the tenacious spirit of the Vietnamese more evident than in the underground tunnels of Cu Chi. Giving a unique insight into the dark times of the Vietnam War when an under supplied army of guerrillas defeated one of the most well armed military powers in the world, the US. This morning we explore the tunnels lead by a relative of a Viet Cong fighter in green fatigues you’ll walk the bush trails discovering grass covered trapdoors, ingenious, yet gruesome booby traps and hidden underwater entrances in rivers. The afternoon is at leisure in Saigon.

Day 12: Saigon - Nha Trang

Today we take a short flight to Nha Trang, famed for white sandy beaches with up to 7km in length azure blue water and more than 200 islands offshore. We arrive in Nha Trang in the early afternoon, and here we will transfer you to your pre booked hotel in Nha Trang town.

Days 13-17: Nha Trang

Spend the next days at leisure on the gorgeous beach. The resort is ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling or simply relaxing on the sandy beach.

Day 18: Nha Trang

Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Saigon where you can easily arrive in time for your flight home.
