Day 1: Hanoi

Welcome Vietnam and the start your Southeast Asia Experience. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure to recover from the long flight. Overnight Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi

Today we commence our exploration of Hanoi by visiting the Ho Chi Minh complex, starting at the President’s Mausoleum. We continue to his humble “house on stilts”, see the French colonial Presidential Palace and the 11th century One-Pillar Pagoda. Afterwards we visit the Temple of Literature, the first Vietnam University dating to 1070. After lunch, we go to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of VN, as well as relics, tools and even full size replicas of their homes and buildings. We then take a Cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, walk around the Hoan Kiem Lake before attending a famous Water Puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi

Morning tour to Bat Trang Ceramic Villages where the kids may like painting some pottery products as well as study about the process of making them. Lunch then back to hotel. Free at noon. Overnight Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Sapa

Enjoy the entire day at your leisure until you are transferred to the train station for your train up to Sapa. Overnight - Sleeper Train.

Day 5: Sapa

Good morning and welcome to Sapa. After breakfast at a local restaurant you start todays activities with a short trek to Lao Chai and Ta Van Village. Enjoy lunch before returned to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa - Hanoi

Enjoy a morning tour to Cat Cat Village and Ham Rong Mountain where we have spectacular view over the town, before being transferred back to the train station for your night train to Hanoi. Overnight Sleeper train.

Day 7: Hanoi - Halong Bay

Good morning and welcome back to Hanoi. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to a hotel where you have time to freshen up before driving down to Halong Bay. Boarding your Bhaya Classic around lunch be welcomed on board and Savor a delicious Vietnamese buffet lunch as Bhaya Classic heads to Bai Tu Long Bay passing Oan Lagoon, Mat Quy (Monster Head) and Am Tich (Teapot) Islets and Vung Vieng fishing village. Visit the fishing village by local rowing boat. The vessel cruises back through the bay to its overnight anchorage near Ho Dong Tien. Happy Hour & Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the Sundeck. Day 8: Halong Bay

Start your day with Tai Chi on the Sundeck. Enjoy a short time cycling on Cat Ba Island if weather permits or guided kayaking and swimming at Three Peach Beach, a pristine natural beach lapped by the turquoise waters. After lunch continue your discovery of Ho Ba Ham Islet, the most remote point in Lan Ha Bay and bordering the Gulf of Tonkin. Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel under a karst mountain if time permits. Overnight On Board.

Day 9: Halong Bay - Hue

Another day another chance to try your hand at Tai Chi on the Sundeck while complimentary tea & coffee are served. Your cruise weighs anchor to cruise through the Bay passing beautiful spots like Trong (Drum), Trinh Nu (Virgin) and Me Cung Caves, Coc Ngoi (Toad) Islet, etc. Explore the Surprise Cave (Sung Sot). The vessel cruises leisurely back to harbor. Disembark at our cruise center in Tuan Chau. Arrive Noi Bai airport, take the flight to Hue. Upon arrival into Hue you will be transferred to your accommodation. Overnight Hue.

Day 10: Hue

In the morning we begin to see the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden City, created in the 19th century for the Emperors under Nguyen Dynasty. We then drive outskirts of Hue to the impressive tomb of King Khai Dinh. Our last stop today is the Dong Ba Market. In the afternoon, we take a boat ride along the romantic Perfume River. We stop at Thien Mu Pagoda to see the 7-storey octagonal tower and an old Austin car which transported the bonze Thich Quang to Saigon in 1963 for his self-immolation. Continue tour by boat to Minh Mang Tomb built between 1841 and 1843. The Emperor’s tomb complex consists of 40 constructions (palaces, temples, pavilions etc) designed on a symmetric axis. Overnight Hue.

Day 11: Hue - Hoi An

We travel southward to the enchanting port town of Hoi An, passing the scenic fishing villages of Lang Co and the Hai Van tunnel. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house, the Japanese Covered Bridge and the colorful local markets. Overnight Hoi An.

Days 12-13: Hoi An

Enjoy the next 2 days at your leisure exploring this city your way. Overnight Hoi An.

Day 14: Hoi An - Saigon

Make the last of your sleep ins for a couple of days you enjoy most of the day at your leisure before you are transferred to the airport for your flight down to Saigon. Upon arrival into Saigon you will be met by our representatives and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Saigon.

Day 15: Saigon

Explore the city’s grand boulevards, visiting the Re-Unification Palace, the former palace of President. Inside you can visit the President’s room. Nearby is the Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, built between 1877 – 1883 and is one of the city’s major landmarks. Neo-Romanesque in form, the Cathedral is the major seat of the Catholic religion in modern Vietnam. We continue to visit the War Remains Museum, where you can learn a lot about the Vietnam War. After lunch, we drive to visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels where we learn the first hand how the Viet Cong survived in the extraordinary underground existence during the Vietnam war. Drive back the city in the late afternoon. Overnight Saigon.

Day 16: Saigon - Can Tho

We travel overland through beautiful countryside of Mekong Delta to Vinh Long province. On arrival, we take a boat ride to visit a local orchard and the Cai Be floating market, a famous place in Mekong Delta. Every day, many boats filled with fruits, vegetables and other local products anchor along the banks of the River, waiting for traders and customers. Here we can see local people being selling, buying, and exchanging goods from their boats. Leave Cai Be, we visit a local family producing coconut candy, a specialty of the region. Lunch with local delicacies served in a bonsai garden. We then transfer to Can Tho. Overnight Can Tho.

Day 17: Can Tho

In the morning we cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat. We will see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Overnight Can Tho.

Days 18-21: Can Tho - Phu Quoc

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Phu Quoc. Upon arrival you will be met by local representatives and transferred to hotel by the hotel’s shuttle bus. Enjoy the rest of your time in Vietnam relaxing the this beautiful city. Overnight Phu Quoc

Day 22: Phu Quoc

Sadly your time with us has come to an end as you are transferred back to the airport back to Saigon that will connect with your flight to your next destination.
