Day 1: Hanoi

Arriving in Hanoi, our guide will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day is free.

Day 2: Hanoi - Sapa

In the morning, commence your exploration of Hanoi by visiting the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university dating to 1070. After lunch (not included), we go to the Museum of Ethnology, which is an excellent museum containing the ethnic costumes of the various minorities of Vietnam, as well as relics, tools and even full size replicas of their homes and buildings. Later today you will taking the night train to Lao Cai

Day 3: Sapa

Welcome to Arrive Lao Cai. Upon arriving you will be transferred to Sapa for breakfast and check-in (1 hour drive). When you are ready, the tour will start by walking to Cat Cat village where you will see friendly local ethnic people as well as their traditional houses on stilts. Located 1500m above sea level, Sapa is a former French hill station, nestled in the rugged Tonkinese Alps, on the slopes of a spectacular lush valley of cascading rice paddy fields. Here, farmers in conical hats, plough the fields with water buffalo and local ethnic minority groups (such as H'mong and Dzao) maintain their age old traditions, including their own languages and intricately embroidered traditional clothing.

Day 4: Sapa

Today you continue your visits to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages where you will learn more about the ethnic people and their culture.

Day 5: Sapa - Halong Bay

Today morning you have at leisure. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the train station for the night train to Hanoi.

Day 6: Halong Bay

Arrive Hanoi at around 5.00 am. You shall be transferred to a 3* hotel where you will have a room to use for 3 hours before getting being transferred to Halong Bay. UNESCO Listed Halong Bay is undoubtedly one of Vietnam's most spectacular regions. Thousands of karst limestone and jungle covered peaks and isles, rise dramatically out of the emerald waters of the bay. Spend the day cruising around the islands on-board a traditional Junk boat. Stopping to explore caves and coves and to swim in the emerald waters. There is also the option to Kayak. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner and overnight on-board.

Day 7: Halong Bay - Hanoi

Enjoy fresh air and the gentle breeze of the bay this morning as you relax on-board the Junk. Cruise through Bai Tu Long and visit the floating fishing village of Vong Vieng - where you can gain a fascinating insight into the daily life of the local people before disembarking at Halong Bay dock around noon. Transfer back to Hanoi.
